Comment:
My experience with Rolf was a bit different than most others; I attended the SATA Vietnam program and took courses with him. Yes, Rolf is a hard-ass, and yes he sometimes mumbles on incoherently. However, if you get him in his element he is fun, hilarious, caring, and invested in the learning of his students! I won't forget Rolf any time soon.

Comment:
He is awful. DO NOT TAKE. He mumbles, does not keep a steady train of thought for more than a minute, and does not clarify anything. He tell you to read the book but then makes his own assumptions so you can't look up the material online or in the book which makes it impossible to learn ANYTHING. If you take his class, DO NOT ASK A QUESTION EVER!

Comment:
Dry. Economic development has the potential to be an amazing class but Jensen ruined it. It's not hard to get a B in his class, but it's almost not worth sitting through. No one ever knows what reading is assigned because he is so unclear and he usually doesn't understand when people ask questions.

he's borrrring and extremely slow. We went through only 6 chapters (over 20) of intro microecon, which means we didn't get to know anything. no homework but tests are too demanding for intro class.

umm.....I really don't know what to say about this guy that hasn't already been said. Cool guy, but teaching method is somewhat dry and dragging. If you like to hear things over and over and over agian, Jensen is that guy.

Confusing lectures even for students who have taken the class in high school. His test are much harder than they have to be because his expectations are so strict

Yes Jensen tends to mumble and ramble on in his lectures. But I would definitely recommend Econ. Development. The subject is his specialty and he definitely knows what he's talking about. If you pay attention and participate you'll find his lectures quite interesting.

Jensen rambles all the time, often times repeating himself (which can be good if you miss the notes). You never need to read the text. He jumps all over you if you say something incorrect (this is very funny to watch.) boring but easy.
