Dr. Mathers was so disrespectful and rude. she got mad at a student for English not being their first language. I was afraid to speak up bc she was so rude except to those that brown nosed her. Her assignments made no sense and were honestly just stupid. I will do anything to avoid her classes in the future.

Comment:
Dr. Mather's expectations are extremely hard to understand and borderline unattainable. She is not clear with what she wants you to do and when you ask for a critique she will tell you one thing and then say another thing when you hand it in to her. She does care about your understanding but does not provide clear guidance.

Gives no direction whatsoever. Asks 4 more general contexts than doesnt like it because it not specific enough very picky when grading because she wants a certain answer but gives no way of knowing what it is

When I read Dr. Mathers reviews it almost made me choose not to take her class. I am so glad I did! The class is entirely assignment based. She likes effort. And her grading reflects that! If youre willing to attend class and put forth effort, Dr. Mather is an excellent professor who cares about your success beyond the classroom!

Jennifer Mather is the most disrespectful professor I have ever come across. She gives little instruction and when you ask for clarity is very rude/unhelpful. I never ever leave reviews on professors however this one I just couldn't hold my tongue for. She is truly the worst prof at this university, and I will never take a class with her again

Awful experience. Does not care about the students. Get ready to tank your GPA and have your emails ignored.

No grading criteria. Everything is writing and group work based. Grades everything on a curve determined by arbitrary guidelines. This will drop your GPA (unless you are her favourite and you agree with everything she says and have time to only work on her class). Not helpful at all. Provides poor feedback

10 page group paper due every week. Unclear about grading criteria and would tell us one thing at the beginning of week and changed her mind by the end of the week. She didn't lecture once, just told us to read the textbook and then would complain how the textbook isn't good.

Avoid at all costs. Not worth it. I went above and beyond in this class and I still didn't do well and I NEVER get poor marks (for reference). I'm a 4th year student and this is by far the worst prof I've ever had. Your gpa will take a hit.. unless she likes you. Very unprofessional and frustrating.

She is extremely rude. If you put your hand up in class and talk too long she will just clap loudly in your face and say "you're done now." Don't even try to talk to her about a problem you have in her class, she will just insult your intelligence and more often than not she will simply ignore your question anyway. 0/10, do no recommend.

Professor Mather does not believe in tests and so there is quite a bit of papers to do, but they are easy as long as you attend class and if you have difficulties she is very understanding. She seems tough but she is very caring about her students and wants nothing more than for you to succeed. Show up to class and do your work and you should pass.

She can be hard to follow sometimes, but she is supportive of her students. If you meet her one-on-one she will help you with whatever you need. She's a straight shooter, so try not to take what she says too personally.

While she is one of the worst profs I've had here, if you pay attention to her comments about your APA formatting etc; you'll do fine. There was no text for this class (lifespan of women),so you save some $$$. Don't bother going to class unless something is due or it's absolutely necessary; you don't really learn anything useful due to her tangents

The worst prof I have ever had. Extremely rude, gives no help when asked and unbelievably lazy. Doesn't mark assignments on content but on how good you are at APA. No point going to class, will not learn anything. A complete waste of money and time.

By far the worst professor I've ever had. She wastes all the lecture time, she doesn't follow her own syllabus, she doesn't even make her own grading criteria. All the classes that were meant for group work she used for other things. She put one text book on reserve for a class of 40 to use. She is ignorant and biased. DO NOT TAKE HER CLASSES.
