Karen is truly a remarkable professor. She utilizes a lot of teaching methods online to keep the class engaged which is something to appreciate. I learned a lot! Though if you prefer solidarity and keeping to yourself, you might not enjoy it. The only criticism I have of this course is how much you have to read. It's literally never-ending!

Confirming what has already been iterated. Truly amazing woman, taking her class inspired me and pushed me to work harder! She brings the best out of students and is extremely understanding and caring. I'm not from the department so I thought students were extremely woke/sjw, in a bubble but she's amazing at providing different perspectives. 10/10

Karen is the best prof I've ever had. She genuinely cares about all her students and makes an effort to make each person comfortable in her class. Her lectures are amazing although there are a lot of mandatory readings. Group projects are a big thing too. But overall, one of the best classes I've taken.

Karen Ridd is a straight up angel in human form. She is not only a phenomenal prof, but also a genuinely good person. Her classes and assignments were incredibly engaging throughout the entire term, and I could not possibly recommend taking a class with her more. I would pay to take this class even if it wasn't for credit. Best prof ever!

I have yet to come across a person that does not like Karen. She is extremely caring, insightful and takes a very interactive approach to teaching. Be ready to share your opinion and talk to every other student in your class! Getting an A+ in her class was a breeze for me, largely because she lays out her expectations very clearly. Highly recommend

I can not recommend Karen enough, she is not only an extremely intelligent human being, but also an amazing role model. Karen gives examples of things she has experienced throughout her life that relate to class material, which makes it extremely easy to remember. The group project is difficult but well worth it.

Karen is one of the best instructors I have ever had. She is very caring and provides a safe space for everyone in the class. She understands we as students are busy so she is very lenient when it comes to due dates. It is clear that she values developing a connection with her students and takes the time to get to know everyone.

Karen is a very good teacher, although sometimes while in a lecture things can get sidetracked. Other than that, she is a very fair marker, very approachable, easy to talk to. She doesn't care much for academic writing skills so as a first-year student I appreciated this because she would explain how to write an A+ paper.
