Awful. Discussion boards and weekly practice quizzes were not included in the final grade. Takes forever to give feedback on paper and test and grades entirely too hard. Do not take his course if you do not have to.

Class was a nightmare. Be ready to teach yourself/read. Make sure you know Chicago well or loose letter grade on paper. took him 22 days to grade my paper (mind you the only other thing he physically had to grade were the essay questions on the midterm which also took forever). Got by w/o text book but Dred v scott a must 4 paper.

Despite some of the previous feedback, Mr Hucles is willing to work with you. While taking my Final, I had some serious computer issues. Mr Hucles was very understanding and worked with me to where I was able to complete my test. As for the rest of the semester, you have 2 quizes, a Midterm, 1500 word paper and Final that are graded. Great teacher.

I love AA history and most school I had gone to utilize the same book to teach. This professor decided that we needed to get his book to complete assignments and learn about AA. I love the previous one that has been used. He grades hard, but can be understanding. The class was fun and done in my own time. You'll need your books.

He is a hard grader, but he will work with you. He doesn't really follow the UN letter of recommendation for online students to beware of that. I would suggest only taking the class if you must. It is fun and teaches you about African American history so if you are passionate about that subject then take the class, good learning resources.

Absolute worst class I have ever taken. Not sure if it was the class or the professor. Dr. Hucles has no compassion for his students and offers no positive feedback, no matter how well you may do on something. If you have any sort of emergency, even if you cut both of your hands off, don't count on him letting you make up ANYTHING. Absolutely awful

Professor Hucles's class was very straight forward. Midterm, Final Paper, Final, and weekly quizzes. He assigned 4 textbooks, I used none. All quiz info. was on power points. He is a very tough grader. He took off many points for small mistakes. He also makes you cite Chicago Style, which I found very difficult. I worked very hard and got a B-.

He is hard to understand while he is lecturing! you have to kind of guess what to write down.. He is very passionate about the subject but teaches it in a very hard way. If you can i would try to take another professor! I passed the class but by .3 points.

He wasn't that difficult BUT you only have three grades. There's a midterm, a paper, and a final (not cumulative). It simply is a lecture and although he required two books I never used them. The outlines are useless, but if you take good notes and go to every class you'll pass! It's an easy lecture class but you need to put in the work!

Easily the worst professor I've had. He doesn't teach important things like the Civil War, and his notes are always on random things like the name for a spanish feudal system or the top reason for divorce in the 1800's. Also, he requires three books. Two of which you only look at once. DO NOT TAKE HIM.

One of the worst history professors I have ever had the displeasure of taking. He expects you to keep up with his lectures which would be possible if he actually went in a outlined order. And he just has to be the least helpful prof on this entire campus, if you like history and dont want your perception of it tainted than DO NOT take this man

Prof. Hucles is an awesome teacher, he is extremely passionate and just truly enjoys history. His class is not an easy A though, you have to do the readings in all 3 textbooks and pay attention in class. Theres a midterm, final and a paper. If you go to class and do the readings you will do well.

His class isn't impossible, but you have to make sure you study everything that comes out of his mouth because you really don't get a heads up about whats on the test. He also only has like 6 grades total and he doesn't give points on attendance or anything, still this class you have to pay attention i would leave with three pages of notes a day..

GOOD teacher. The material is tough, but as long as u study a lot u will be fine. He is not boring, he actually makes boring material funny and fairly easy to listen to! Interesting class, enjoyed it. Only downside is that u only have 3 grades; midterm, paper, and final. Tests: multiple choice/essay. He graded the paper easy, Uses both books a lot.

Doesn't give you Qs for tests in this class! His review outline is really general, yet his tests were very specific, making it hard to study to get an A.Only grades were midterm, final and a paper.Fair grader.Class was a 3 hour teletechnet class, but he was @ my site & took attendance (not mandatory).Painfully boring and hard not to fall asleep.Better skip class & watch online & pause & rewind. You def. need to watch classes, take good notes & read all readings while taking notes.

Overall, Mr. Hucles is a nice professor that will teach you a thing or two about history. Studying your notes is VITAL to passing this class. Almost, if not MORE VITAL than reading out of the book as well. Attendance is not mandatory, but highly encouraged. Unsure if I would take him again, but he is definitely entertaining.

Yes, you will do A LOT of studying for his class. You only have two tests and a paper so it is a little intense. That being said, he is a very sweet and funny professor. He teaches you things you've never known before and tells very interesting stories. You'll work hard to pass, but it's worth it.

Dr. Hucles is an intelligent man who knows his stuff but, he expects his students to know absolutely everything he does. His class consists of 2 exams and a paper. The exams are IMPOSSIBLE to do well on. He is sooo picky! As for the paper, I had to read 50 pages of slave documents.. terrible! Also, you have to buy FOUR books for the class. :(

He is a great teacher and person. Made the subject very interesting and he gives you all of the MC questions to the test ahead of time. I mean if that's not easy then what is?
