I would take him again ONLY if it was the last option! There are LOTS of test! Test are lengthy but you are able to work on them until the deadline. Sometimes you will have more than 2 test due the same week. Stay on top of emails and keep track of the work you've completed. He's not tech savvy so you may have to email him of completed assignments.

Is a work heavy class with long test (one test was 134 questions long) that are take home test. He reads straight from the power points and his labs are pretty easy but the lab test you defiantly need to study for those.

Awful lectures, long and boring. Gets very political for no reason (claimed that Greta Thunberg was being manipulated by her father; and that climate change wasn't real). Hard of hearing, too. Had to switch to online b/c of COVID, and it's worse. Sends out same assignment 20 times, all different. Emails hard to understand. Don't take him.

Very long monotonous lectures. He often gets hung up on one point for an extended period of time, giving you more information than necessary. Even when work is finished beforehand (as instructed in order to leave early), he still held us to go over every detail. So much time wasted.

Did not like prof Collins. Summer class. Boring lectures. Each day he goes through at least 3 powerpoint presentations (with over 100 slides per presentation). So yes, very fast past. Be prepared to study on your own. Labs are OK! He can get very political sometimes, which makes the situation awkward. Doesn't teach evolution - Very religious!

If you take him in the summer

Mr. Collins puts everything you need to know on Powerpoint's. However, he goes over them in class so it can get boring at times. Attendance is mandatory!! Book used for reference, but lab manual is essential as he normally lets you use it for lab quizzes. He let us use notes for tests too! Very pleased with my A, since Science isn't my thing!

I have to admit he is very monotone but he is a GREAT teacher! He does not use the text book at all, everything you need to know will be coming from him. This class requires you to pay attention and actually take notes. If you do that and take the time out to study for his test's then you will do fine!

By far the worst professor I've ever had! He constantly taught us wrong information, and had no clue what he was doing. By the end of the semester no one was attending his lab. Everyone was going to different professors in order to learn the proper information. DO NOT TAKE HIM!

Definitely monotone! He's a nice guy for sure, he just boring sometimes. He gives alot of notes to copy, then 100 multiple choice test, which a good portion of the notes from class aren't needed. I wouldn't necessarily suggest taking him, but he's not bad if you have to.
