Hard to connect with, ask questions to and communicate with. On top of this, due to online learning there was never an in-class portion to talk to him. He refused to communicate in any way other than email, but never referenced previous emails to dispel confusion. His lectures are long and questions on exams are unrelated. Bad teacher.

he is into procrastination and does not provide any other lecture materials other than lecture videos on bright space. You need to figure out everything on your own and the time duration for writing a test is way too less.

Frank was never terrible imo. He provides lots of stories that are relevant to his lectures and has this grandfatherly vibe that my classmates smiled to. Maybe BIOL1215 was a good class to take w him because he seemed passionate talking about his specialty, which is ecology. His exams are very long though, otherwise, just try participating in class

Frank is the kind of teacher who will make you hate biology He simply doesn't know what to teach and how to teach neither he is clear on what is gonna come on midterms or quizzes and then the final exam is just unpredictable Tough grader and does not care for his students Langara should not pay him for ruining students money and time Just terrible

Frank is hilarious, by that I mean his expectations are hilarious. He simply can't teach. His materials are so broad and yet he expects every single detail to be remembered. His lectures are terrible.

Frank is a type of prof that expects students to remember anything he says in class. His notes are lengthy and take a long time to copy and a lot of the times they are too ambiguous. If you do not remember the things he says in class you will not get good grades on his exams. He is also a very tough grader and his lectures can get boring.

Tough marker, terrible teacher. Asks questions on tests that he doesnt even cover during lecture or in notes. Goes off topic a lot in class so you need to pick up the slack at home. If you want a course where you want a gpa drop and a fail, then franks class it is.

I really like Frank , lots of knowledge and his tangents can be fun, but hes an awful professor. No homework which seems nice but when its test time you are bewildered and he marks super hard. To succeed you have to do a lot of independent learning which is very hard when balancing other classes Enjoyed the course but not worth the GPA drop

Get ready because when Frank Williams teaches, its like swimming one hundred metres with 50 pound weights attached to your ankles (its difficult, but possible). Frank Williams doesn't give power points to his students, even though he is very lecture heavy. Save yourself by not taking Frank Williams; he will happily help you drop your GPA.

Please never take him unless you are willing to spend your precious time listening to his stupid life stories and philosophies rather than biology course content. He gets off topic easily and does not care why students are not attending his classes (he should change his way of teaching)

I found his class very hard to focus in. He often went into tangents while lecturing. His exams had really random questions. His powerpoint slides were just blocks of text straight from the textbook? Also would've been a plus if he actually posts his powerpoint slides on D2L, but no he does not. 10/10 would not take again lol

Frank Williams is a character, this guy thinks he's funny. Not gonna lie though, he's not that bad, mostly makes his students cringe, but that makes it entertaining. He tends to go off topic during lectures, making them feel horribly long. So in other words, do other homework or watch Netflix & take notes of his slides when he changes them.

If you study off the powerpoint notes you'll do fine. You do need to put in the effort but if you're independent and don't mind taking notes, you will succeed in this class. He is boring but if you try listening, the info makes sense. His tests aren't completely unrelated questions, just try to keep up with his lectures. Nice and approachable.

he's a nice guy and all but he just can't teach. The questions he puts on his quizzes and midterms are really random and hard. Don't bother studying from the textbook because his questions are based off from what he says during lecture and not even his slides which he copies from the textbook. Rambles a lot and thinks he's funny. Boring lectures.

Pretty horrible, his exams are completely unrelated to his slides. Quiz and midterm super hard. Questions that show up are topics he mentioned once in lecture. Super boring lectures as he goes off topic about environmental issues, he's funny though sometimes. Powerpoints are useless, you have to LISTEN to his lectures, that's what is on the exams.

Comment:
Frank gives really boring lectures. Just non-stop talking and not much interaction with students to keep them engaged other than sarcastic questions which he gets mad when nobody answers them. His quizzes and midterms have random questions that weren't covered in his notes. Also his notes are just slides from the textbook copied and pasted.
