My experience was not bad. He says the textbook is not required, but it definitely helps. In preparation for the tests and exam, I studied his lecture slides (which are pretty good), and I made notes from the books. The testsexam had no surprises if you read the book, which for some reason he says is not required. Get it anyway.

The most stressful experience I have ever had at York. Still haven't gotten a grade.... They were due to be in by May 1st.... It's now May 6th... So unreliable, so disorganized, so useless. A serious liability to have him employed at York.

Ridiculous professor. Should lose his job. His final had absolutely no validity to the course material. 4 Lecture slides on plotting. 4 Lecture slides on user input; generating random numbers and measuring reaction time. Final consisted of 2 prime number questions; 2 palindromes and drawing a '7' in a box. Absolutely ridiculous.

This is the worst professor I've ever had at York. He often comes to class late, doesn't teach much and chooses to pick on students, he doesn't answer questions or teach. I taught myself everything from the textbook

The guy is very strange his english is not perfect and he will confuse the hell out of you. I had about 10 questions about final exam during exam, so did many other students. You have to read the book yourself and follow other section if you can. Tests are random; you never know what will be on the test, there is no way to know.

The labtests are free marks, do all the assignments and you will have no problem. The test's are trickier, you will want to go over every question in the lectures. Though the textbook was not required, I followed along with it and it definitely helped me do well. In order from simplest to hardest Labtest>Exam>Assignments>Midterm. Enjoyed the class.

Avoid if you can. Professor is more interested in making students feel stupid than teaching. You will be in for a shock during tests. They are completely unrelated to anything you'll see in class.

The worst Professor I've ever seen in this University, doesn't know what he is teaching about. Has a very strong accent which makes it even harder to understand him. By all means avoid his classes.

- sneers at you for asking questions during lectures. - un-aware of previously taught concepts in 1020. - avoids student interaction. - does provide tiny hints about exams. but is not explicit. your time is better spend practising instead of lectures.

I would only suggest going to class if you want to know what exactly will be on the test (he gives small hints every class). Lecture slides and textbook is all you really need for material. Textbook questions really help to prepare for tests. Labs took forever, especially if you have up to date applications. Tests and labs not completed dontcount

I couldn't hear him let alone understand what he was saying. he has a lot of jokes but spent more time teasing some guy about his Mac than going on with the lecture. questions for midterms were phrased funny which makes it easy to fail. you have to memorize a lot. no need wasting money for textbook. finals were overwhelming, too many objective ques

First test consisted of memorising thousands of multiple choice questions (poor grammar, incorrect answers, and all). The associate dean had to get involved since this course was such a train wreck. Marks were too high near the end, so he slashed 13 percent from all our final grades.

This guy is funnnnny! But a horrible teacher. Unless its mandatory for your program, DO NOT TAKE CSE 1560 WITH HIM. He will mess your brain around like nothing and will make a joke out of everything lol. Treats everything like a piece of cake and expects you to follow along lol. But very realistic tho styl.

Very easy course. He's very clear, maybe he spends too much time on obvious stuff. Does his job, but no more than that. Fair marks.
