I took her professor Siaw for adolescent psych and enjoyed it. She is very nice. Class consists of 4 exams weekly homework, but you can get an A. ATTENDANCE IS MANDATORY!!! (Grade based on attendance)

Im VERY shy but Siaw made me feel comfortable enough to speak in class without sweating lol. Shes super approachable and caring. You will have to study a lot but the info is not hard. The facilitation isnt as bad as it seems. She isnt strict on timing and She wants most of the time to go to the activities you create for the class. Take her!

She explains the material in a very simple manner most of the time; however, lectures can get a little boring. If you can focus, you will excel in the class.

She is really nice and tries to make the class fun. The class itself was pretty easy, just study what is on the study guide to do good on the exams. The class consists of 2 Exams, 1 Final exam, a class project, and participation. Overall, she's great.

She is kind and funny, but the exams are insane. 2 cumulative midterms and a cumulative final. The cumulative final is from 30 chapters of the textbook on Metathoughts. It is HARD! There is a ton to remember and it honestly doesn't seem fair that there is that much to remember. From the 30 metathoughts, you'll have to remember 150 terms-quotes etc.

Great prof, and hilarious! She is really cool and understanding. Class consists of students facilitating and there is a 10 point quiz each class-so be there! Final project is easy. Final exam is cumulative and a LOT to remember! 2 midterms are not cumulative. Make sure to be in class and be prepared to talk and teach the class! She is great :)

Hilarious-even at an 8am class, I attend. Quiz each day for Sr. Symposium (but they are easy because students make the quizzes). Very fair grader. Class consists of 3 exams (2 midterms and 1 final (200pts). Your project (50pts), Student Quizzes (140pts), etc. Exams are memorization which can be difficult, but they are doable.

Siaw is a good teacher but gets off topic a lot. If there is a large class she will not take attendance but will do random activities to fulfill attendance. You do not need to go to class as long as you know someone and ask them to do the activity for you (only if a large class).

Thought she was really funny and taught well, always told stories. This was a hybrid class so we had online homework with reading every week but it was easy. Her tests follow the study guides she gives and were decently easy. I am not a psych major and thought this class was easy and had a good time in lecture

Decent Professor. I've been told it's her last time teaching PSY-201. I'm a little salty I was 1 point off from an A, and she didn't round up. But she offered 18 point of extra credit, so I'm not really complaining. Majority of grade is doing homework and papers, so the tests determine whether you get that A or B.

She is very funny, class was super easy. Lectures are based on a book that you read for homework. She is understanding, and is willing to answer all questions that you ask. Also she has reviews the day before exam which is word for word on exam( super easy). Take her for your GE

Class I took was a hybrid, meaning you only did homework online then showed up for lectures and tests. Very engaging and fun to listen to. 65% of my grade was based off of online homework that you automatically get 100% on it if you do it, so you basically automatically pass the class. Easy A definitely take it for GE Area E

Shes a very nice lady, and she makes the class fairly interesting. She also gives you a study guide that is almost identical to each midterm and the final. So buy the book, and just look at everything on the study guide and reap your A.

I do not recommend this professor, her tests are very hard she goes over only half the stuff that on the test in class and then you're responsible to learn the rest on your own. She tells VERY boring stories about her kids every day. DO NOT TAKE THIS PROFESSOR.

This class was very enjoyable. Siaw is a very entertaining professor and keeps her lessons from getting boring. She is extremely nice and understanding and is always telling stories or making small jokes and involves the class. I HIGHLY recommend taking Siaw, she's an excellent professor, and the work load for PSY201 was very minimal.
