What can I say, he must be one of the best professors I have ever had at Ball State. He is very clear, and patient. He incorporates a quiz almost every week to help use what you are learning. A bad score on a quiz or two is fine. He is a very nice guy, if I knew of any other classes he was teaching, I would register for them immediately.

Lecture very straightforward. try to take biochem with pattison instead of gerzci her exams r impossible. Textbook is not needed. Tests and quizzes come straight from in-class notes. Lab pre-lab lectures r extremely long usually 1-2 hrs. lab quizzes r a pain in the butts. Questions jump out of nowhere. So study the lab manual well LOL

Dr. Pattison is the nicest best professor ever, extremelly helpful and you learn a lot! I would take this class if you have to take the MCAT, DAT, etc. Take both 463/563 and 464/564. I'm a junior and I did fine.

Not only does he explain things extremely well, but if people asked stupid questions (which they did...a lot) he tried as hard as he could to help that person understand the material. He is also very approachable and understanding when students have a problem, whether it be with the class itself or something personal.

Dr. P is an unassuming guy, which makes him very approachable within the intimidating atmosphere of biochem 2. He's extremely helpful, and best of all, no matter what question you ask, (and no matter how stupid) his answer is tactful and helpful.
