At first, I absolutely hated him and his class. However, throughout the semester I realized he is a very smart, genuine guy but his tests are impossible and extremely tricky. His C range is from 60-79, so shoot for a C. Most students drop out. Unless you're smart and willing to learn outside of his class, get another teacher.

A true character and a true teacher! He knows his stuff and he expects you to know it too - will give you all the help you ask for...too bad he is retiring in 2012!

Only take his class if you want to learn macro economics. If you don't really care about the subject take a different teacher. He's a nice guy and does a good job explaining in class but it definitely wont stick unless you spend a long time working on your own.

If you want to even have a chance in this class, read the book and TAKE YOUR OWN NOTES FROM THE BOOK. he barely covers any of the material that will be on the tests and his tests are impossible. the questions are tricky. he can be condescending at times and treats his students like they are unintelligent. I wish I would have gotten another teacher.

He admits that he is trying to trick you out of getting the right answer-lectures only cover 1/3 of material tested, test ?'s often were not understandable(or grammatically correct). the ?'s that were understandable were advance and not discussed at all- I used many other resources to study and read each chapter 3-6x.

He is the worst teacher ever. I graduated 12th in my class got a 29 on the ACT and received my first C in his class. I studied the material a lot asked questions and eventually got so upset that I went to another macro teacher for help. She looked at his tests and said not only was his info wrong, but the questions were questions for grad students.

I had taken Econ with another instructor several years before and didn't understand it, so I retook the class hoping to get a better understanding and improve my grade. I did both. Dale expects a lot from his students, and you have to work in his class, but hey -- it is college!

This professor was very well informed on Econ. If u have a ?, he is happy to answer it thoroughly. Macro is a hard class, no matter who u take (my only NON-A). Sometimes the exams have ?s about what he lectures on (often not in book) and sometimes it's all book. So, u have to pay attention in class AND read the book too! Not an easy class!

This instructor was very boring. The man never took attendance, at least before I dropped it. Never responded to any type of messages I left either through email or phone. I wouldn't recommend this man. He looked like an elderly version of Yosemite Sam!

i like economics in general but after this class i lost much intrest-thanks to his teacher. like all comments, his tests have very little to no relevance to what he teaches and thats all the class cirriculum is based on-tests and quizes. he is a nice guy but he wont be fired-fyi tenure- so just dont take him and then you wont have to complain

Dale's test are horrible. You really don't have to go to his class but you have to read his book. The book will better prepare you for his test then he will. 75% of his test are take home and I still have a mid-range C. He opens up his C range but his B and A range are impossible to get into. Do Not Take Him.

He doesn't care about teaching. What he asks on Exams not connected to what he was teaching in class. Every class ended in 30-40 min when suppose to be 1,5h. My first C.

He is hard to understand with that mustash covering his mouth. He only explains things one and if you didn't get it you better find it in the book and learn it on your own. I am an A student and there is no reason for him to be so hard!!!!!

Dale seems to care more about chia pets and retirement then teaching! He offers no help if you are struggling and expects you to comprehend a difficult subject on your own! His tests are harder then any other macro teachers in community colleges in the area and to be warned CLC has no macro tutor. Your on your own!!!
