This is a difficult class. If you take it with Debbie, do every question you can find while studying (class examples, practice homework questions, and assignment questions) and you will be fine. Be prepared to spend a lot of time on these questions or you won't pass. There are some curveballs on the exams but not enough to make you fail.

For most students, the exams will be too short to complete what is expected. While exams and assignments are similar, there will be gaps in understanding (which you will need to fill on your own). It's a difficult course to take online, and there doesn't seem to be consideration for this. I would much rather take this course in a classroom.

This is my second time taking this class with Debbie as she failed me the previous semester, and it is not getting any easier. The amount of effort I have put in this class is ridiculous and I still can't get more than 60% on anything. She doesn't give part marks so it's close to impossible to pass this class.

She is the worst professor ever!!!!! It is impossible to do good in this class with her, why does she even bother teaching when she fails most of the class. One mistake and she'll put a big fat 0 for your grade.

The worst prof ever. Yes, her midterms are similar to her practice questions, but she doesn't grade them the same way. No part marks. Super rude, expect you to know everything already. If she is only teaching it's better to wait for someone else.

Her tests are super heavy and hard, and she doesn't give enough time for students to finish. This class was really unfair, as she didn't even host lectures online for us to learn. We had to learn this course ourselves AND have super tough exams. She is a super tough grader as well. I guess all the good comments are from her in-class teachings.

I've taken Debbie for past accounting courses and they went well however i would not recommend taking her for 4455 online. Super slow grader, difficult exams and not understanding whatsoever.

Debbie does not host lectures online, we have to read the textbook ourselves and watch a tutorial that's 20-25 mins/chapter that's posted on moodle. More than 75% of the course is done and I have not received a single grade on any of the homework or midterms. Her exams are similar to the homework.

I have taken a few acct classes with Debbie and I have to say that she's one of the best at KPU. The powerpoint notes she provides are very clear and helpful. Lots of hw but the quizzes will help you do well in the exams. However, the Connect hw was pretty useless and very time consuming. Take if you have the time to put into the course!

Debbie is one of the best accounting professor in KPU. She gets boring sometimes but only if you don't listen to her. She explains the stuff very clearly and care for you that you get marks. Her slides are really helpful. She does not go off topic. All in all Debbie is a really nice professor.

Her lectures are very clear and easy to follow, she does several example problems on the board each class and is very receptive to questions. It can be a tough class, but if you do the homework (but there is a lot) you will be well practiced for the quizzes and tests. If you don't do well, it's not Debbie's fault

Debbie was a really good accounting prof. She's clear and easy to understand, plus her sense of humor is pretty great. It's not the easiest class ever but Debbie doesn't make it too hard. Uses WileyPlus. As long as you study it really wont be that bad. Definitely recommend Debbie

Really nice and gives good explanations with examples she does in class, I was glad I choose her for the class because she made everything simple. I found her exams were not hard at all as long as you studied what she told you to. If you do the homework and pay attention, you will be more than fine. Also good with giving marks if you understand

Debbie is a great proff i really liked her, but her exams are very hard ! She does her best to give you good feedback and gives lots of homework which helps with the course! If students do well on the first midterm she makes the remaining exams extremely hard. I would take her again, but be prepared to study hard

powerpoints, ex/problems help but sometimes there are mistakes in them she is very slow with posting marks. a week should be the max amount of time for marking. doesn't post the details of the exam until a week before it should be posted 2 weeks in adv since its an online course her exams are like the ex/problems some q r a bit tricky

Debbie is a great professor. Class lectures are very well done, and very informative. Give previews of key points that will be on exams, which is very helpful. Debbie is also always available to help. Exams are exactly like recommended practice problems and in class problems. Would definitely take Debbie for accounting courses in the future.

Unlike other accounting instructors, Debbie does not award part marks for selecting the correct accounts as they pertain to journal entries. She is also demeaning when reviewing exams - refers to some questions as "easy" marks.

Great instructor, gives part marks for exam questions for calculation errors, etc. WileyPlus homework and 3 at home quizzes are basically mark boosters as the quizzes are out of 10 based on completion (not accuracy). Tells you exactly what needs to be reviewed before each exam and teaches the material in the simplest way possible. Would take again!
