This is the hardest class I ever took, but the professor is great. I'm convinced that this class is the reason I was able to get an offer with Facebook--the highest possible offer available at my level because I "killed it" on the interviews (not my words). Soak up as much as you can from this man. It's worth it!

Gives the most difficult exams I have ever taken. Averages are 60% and curves are huge. Very difficult but absolutely brilliant. Amazing and funny lectures. I studied for days for his exams, but I'm fully convinced I got a job at Facebook because of him. Take his class but be prepared for the stress and make sure you have the time for it.

You will learn a ton from the class if you put the work in. Very very smart dude. Brutal grader, but curves significantly. Unclear grading criteria. You will DIE if you don't go to lectures. You can't memorize; Actually understand stuff. Class very difficult overall; You will have to work hard if you want a B or better.

His lecture style is very unorganized and often sparse on detail and important examples. (Became more apparent with online class). While he cares about students, he also is fairly intimidating. Homework is not too difficult, but is not representative of test questions. Average on exams in (C to D+) range. Note: This class is hard, but avoid Supowit

Very smart and funny guy that does a lot to help and make sure that you understand the material. Very difficult exams and quizzes. Extremely harsh grader, but gives a significant curve to the class. Doesn't give a lot of feedback unless you talk to him directly. Doesn't update grades online, so you don't know what your grade is until the end.

A horrible professor. I can't warn against taking his class enough. There is little point going to lecture because he just talks to the board and goes off on random tangents. He then ask you highly conceptual questions on the exams that require a deep understanding of the topic. Beware, he has no issue failing half of the class.

Amazing lectures, but you had better not miss anything because he does not post resources. His expectations are unclear and he doesn't post grades. A curve is guaranteed but there's no way to know your grade til the end of the semester.

Great professor. He keeps homework and class itself interesting. If you participate and take an interest you will find yourself enjoying the class. That being said his exams test your ability to take tests as much as your knowledge of the class if not more so. Good professor, but hard.

Disgusting homework and midterm. Disgusting stuff and question. Disgusting grading. You will not able to see anything include grade in Carmen until the end of semester. Never pick him if u have any other choice.

If anyone has his class, you will know how bad he is. A professor who talks trash talk on the class. His exam is most difficult I have seen. The average score for the first exam is 54%. You may imagine. And also the midterm review doesn't has any relationship to his exam. He will say "It lets me feel disguting" when you talk with him about the exa

He's okay, clearly knows the material and seems to care. However he's never released any grading criteria, doesn't put any grades online, and his tests are so wildly different from the homework that I honestly thought I walked in to the wrong testing room. Baffled by all the rave reviews, I think students like his attitude and occasional swearing.

Dr. Supowit is one of the best teachers Ive ever had. Hes visibly passionate every lecture and has more experience in CS than any prof Ive had in the past. His grading is kind of a mystery bc he doesnt specify category weights (and we just got back an exam today with 54% average), but honestly a really enjoyable class. Hope to take him again.

I've learned more from his class than any other class I've taken. He's inspirational in making you want to learn more. The guy's a freaking genius. That said, if all you're aiming for is a high GPA, don't take him. Tests are crazy hard and curve big, but may not bring you up to where you want to be. Be ready to take the B/C. NOT A BLOW OFF CLASS!!

Super cool and knowledgeable professor. His tests are very hard and there are definitely easier professors for this class, but I do still feel I learned a lot despite the tough exams. Very lecture heavy class that covers a lot of topics but well worth it. He does not post any grades online but there was a serious curve given my exam scores.

If you are in a computer science related major at OSU and you never take a class with Ken, you are missing out. His lectures are open-ended and conversational, which keeps them very interesting in my opinion. He is more challenging than others but really he is just pushing you to think more deeply and his generous curve covers the difference.

Recommended -- I found that he teaches data structures and algorithms well and in great detail. His class is challenging, but you'll want to know these concepts well to pass your technical interviews, so take Foundations 1 and/or 2 with him and don't blow it off. You'll be rewarded for it.

Prof. Supowit was one of my favorite professors ever. He's hilarious and has a perpetual smile. His exams are really hard, but it would be unfair to say that he doesn't prepare you for it. His examples and homeworks are equally challenging, requiring you to think for you yourself. Would recommend for in-depth learning, but not an easy grade.

If you like theoretical things, do choose this professor. If you just want to remember what was taught and pass exams, choose another one. He likes to lead you to think, to find algorithms on your own, and he stresses on this ability. CLRS is as really important for the course, and you'd better go through proofs in it carefully.

I really liked Ken. I think he does a good job conveying some complex concepts and keeps the class entertaining with his humor. Most don't like him because he doesn't post any grades online or outline a grading scale. He claims "it won't change how you study anyway". It didn't affect me but I can see how that would be frustrating to others.

First of all, funniest prof I've had. Insanely smart guy as well. Generally speaking he's very good at teaching the ideas and material as well. However I couldn't help but feel like he made the class quite a bit harder than it needed to be, relying on a huge curve at the end of the class. I felt like I learned a lot, but I really had to work for it
