Comment:
Very difficult class. I would've failed if it weren't for the generous curve. He cares about his students but, man, his lectures are boring and he goes on tangents all the time that it's difficult to stay focused. Prepare to fail bc even if you know the material, you will run out of time & fail (or get C's) unless you're smarter than everyone else.

Finance is not my thing, but Professor Zutter made it interesting and manageable for me. It was definitely challenging and not my best grade ever, but given its a required course I was glad I took it with Professor Zutter.

Worst business course prof by far. Doesn't provide grades till the end of the semester. Exams have no relation to what we do in class and assignments. Is not helpful either in class or out of class. Just seems to have no interest whatsoever.

His grading pace is a joke. You have no idea on how you did on the material until weeks and weeks have passes. By that time the class has moved on to other stuff. Unprofessional and downright sloppy. He doesn't care for the course or for the students. Just cares for the price of the book. Pitt should pull him out of this course.

This guy does not know how to teach the material he is giving to us. Started our final late, and didn't seem like he cared. Did not show people their grades until 2 weeks before classes ended. Exam averages were terrible, and they were NOTHING like the homework/practice quizzes/ lecture examples. Overall rating of the experience: Abysmal. Avoid.

Chad is a great professor and obviously very passionate about finance. I am not sure why the tests are made so much harder than what we do in lectures, but corrections help a ton. Definitely seems like the best option for Intro to Finance to me.

Professor Zutter is a great professor, but always goes on tangents. It is so difficult to pay attention in class. The exam averages are always so low, but he let us do test corrections to get some points back. Overall nice guy, hard material.

NON FINANCE MAJORS BEWARE!!This may be the farthest thing from an "undergraduate introductory survey course of managerial finance". Lectures are boring and confusing, homework take 4-7 hours a week to complete, and all of that for a 55-65 avg. on the exams. Maybe it's harder being online during covid but this is the hardest class I have ever taken.

The class averages on the two exams were 65 and 55. I thought this was just low cuz of COVID, but he said this was average. We could do corrections, but had to show our work on every single problem, including multiple choice ones. But of course you don't know how you did on exams or homework for a long time because he's the slowest grade ever.

Prof Zutter does an awesome job teaching finance. This is only an introduction class, but I feel like he gives students a very thorough understanding of whats going on in finance and why all business majors should care about finance. My major was undecided when the semester started, but after taking Prof Zutters class its finance for me.

Prof. Zutter does an extremely good job of making the class possible for those who may be taking the class just to move on, while making it difficult and challenging for those who will go further in finance. I like that he taught the class in a way that made it possible for everyone to achieve if you put in effort.
