Took him in the summer. He won't collect HW, but he will add similar problems from the hw to the quizzes/exams. Lectures are confusing at first, but you will adapt to how he teaches. MESSY penmanship. Don't be afraid to ask questions- he'll be more than happy to clarify things. DO THE HW! It'll help with the quizzes/exams!!

I really enjoyed taking him. I took him over summer, it was my only class. He was confusing at first, but when you get the hang of his teaching you can learn a lot! Homework is not turned in. Quizzes and exams are fairly easy. Do the homework and you'll do fine. Talk to him, he's actually pretty nice and understanding.

First off this guy is really strict with attendance, he will drop you in a heartbeat. His lectures are really boring and complicated. The exams aren't so difficult, if you do the homework and study a little you should be pass the class. Dont take the class too early in the morning or you will fall asleep, trust me.

Mr. Krauss is pretty chill... Grades homework at test time. I was used to a more structured teaching method, he kinda teaches on the fly sometimes, but if you can keep up he's a good teacher and is funny too. Tutoring can help fill in gaps he may miss, but for the most part I would recommend him to you. HE WILL DROP YOU FOR EXCESSIVE ABSENCES!

Professor Krauss teaches clearly most of the time and is approachable if you have a problem. He gives a lot of quizzes but they're helpful when you study. The class is okay.I would recommend the class

Professor Krauss has a fun and quirky way of introducing calculus. Not only does he know his stuff, but he doesn't mind repeating himself or reviewing material at the beginning of each class. The quizzes are hw questions, the exams are basic applications of whatever he's lectured on, and he is relatively easy to follow.

He reminds me of Robin Williams in Dead Poet's Society. He teaches on the fly rather than from the book. He is humorous at times, but his explanations can be vague. The hardest part of the class, seeing 3-D on a 2-D board. At times he's too lazy to answer a student's question. Practice the homework. The Students Solutions Manual will save you time.

Prof. Krauss made Calc 3 seem remarkably easy. HW is not turned in, but helpful for quizzes/tests. Exams are not difficult, and he gives lots of partial credit. He tends to oversimplify everything (eg, calling a helix a loopdiloop, or a hyp. parabola a horsey saddle, etc.) All that aside, best math teacher I've had to date.

The class is confusing at the beginning, but once you learn the Calculus concepts, it's easy. He is really funny, and teaches really well. Homework is not mandatory, but you need to do it in order to understand the class. He uses the examples from the book for the quizzes and tests. And he is really helpful if you have problems with the homework.

He is the best math teacher. He makes his class very easy and you learn. The best thing is that he does not collect the homework, however you need to practice in order to suceed. I strongly recommend you to take a class with him, he is very smart and funny and he loves his job.

Best math teacher, PERIOD. Never collects h/w, teaches right out of book but explains the concept of every step CLEARLY! Even if you're not good at math, you will understand. Rarely checks attendence after first month, but if you're not good at math you should really attend every class because if you LISTEN, you WILL LEARN. Plus, extremely helpful.

very easy. explains things in detail and shows great examples, from the easiest problems to hard ones. tests and quizzes come straight from the hw, SO DO THEM! like some said, he does go off topic and talks about other things but he covers everything you need to pass the class.

Great teacher and he's a stud! He makes class fun and from time to time, drifts off into one of his stories, although his stories are always entertaining. ALWAYS DO the homework, even though it take an average of 4 to 5 hours to do the homework for a chapter, DO IT. It helps on the test and is worth the points. I highly recommend him.

I highly recommend Krauss! He was extremely helpful to students who couldn't understand something, and was willing to reexplain things. The subject is hard so don't expect to not have to work for the grade, but he makes everything easier. I got a D in the class only because I never went to class. Had I gone I would have gotten an A. =D
