Absolutely a hilarious prof. The content itself was very boring but the way he teaches gives a more enthusiastic learning experience. When it comes to assignments and tests, he focuses more on content than grammar and sentence structures. However, get ready for the 10-12 page term paper that's 35% of ur mark. I suggest working on it ASAP.

Bruce was a decent prof, its what you'd expect from a university class. He marks tough and has dry lectures, I usually tune out for the full 80 mins. this classes sorta made me question whether PLSC was for me but if you have to take him, he's not too bad.

He was pretty weird. Made inappropriate jokes that just were NOT funny and made a lot of us uncomfortable. He was sorta chill but i dreaded his class. Lectures are SUPER boring and could be much more entertaining. Tests are very heavy I mean come on who writes 2 essays for an exams and plus short answer questions. Super hard marker don't take him.

Fantastic professor, very engaging and entertaining. Lectures are necessary to do well, and grades are heavily reliant on a few assignments. Overall great professor!

Bruce is a delightful prof. He is a bit of a tough marker but that helped me improve tremendously. If you're a policy studies/poli sci major, this is a prof you want to take at least one class with. And it doesn't hurt that he is super funny.

Bruce is a very easy going prof! Gives clear instructions during lectures of what is expected on his exams. His exams are just as hilarious as him with many questions including jokes in them which releases some stress during the exam. If you attend all lectures and pay attention you'll for sure get an A!

Bruce is a nice guy I guess but he puts emphasis on the wrong things. At the beginning of the year he stressed that getting a textbook was crucial for the class but we didn't use it once, he also only gives 4 projects/assignments that are worth a bunch and doesn't do extra credit work. Attendance is mandatory and lectures are long....

I've had some really good teachers at Mount Royal, Bruce is not one of them. While his lectures are kinda funny, it's very hard to feel comfortable enough to talk in this class. He constantly slams Americans and Conservatives, I think I learned more about dumb Donald Trump was then I learned anything useful.

Bruce is funny and knows his stuff. His lectures are entertaining, organized, and very well thought out. Quite vocal about his opinions, which didn't bother me, but I guess I can see why people get offended by him (even though it's very clearly all in good fun, but I digress). Fair marker, gives good feedback, posts everything on BB. Hail Bruce.

Probably not the best class if you are very opinionated on your beliefs, Personally, i felt like he was the funniest professor I've ever had. Going to his class was fun because it was like a comedy class. Must say he is a tough grader but he makes learning interesting.

Bruce was amazing. He has a fantastic sense of humour and really enjoys what he does. Notes are posted on blackboard, participation is great in class. He really knows what he's talking about. Term paper is worth 35% of grade- this is daunting but he is always available to answer questions and help out. Would highly recommend taking a class from him

Bruce is helpful to students generally and often has a very good sense of humour. However he is a complete left-wing radical and gets arguably far too worked up about contemporary politics than a guy who has been teaching for years and years should.

He cannot possibly overstate how much hate he has for Donald Trump. He sometimes goes on twenty minute rants about it, so if you're into that, he's the Prof for you. Expect to be ridiculed and bullied in front of the class if you make a comment that even remotely veers far from far left ideology.

Bruce is very well educated, however, he should be ashamed of the environment he creates in his classroom. Unless you're a die-hard socialist/liberal - you don't stand a chance. Freedom of speech does not exist in his classroom. Should you have any different opinions than him - keep your mouth shut of be prepared to be ridiculed.

Bruce is probably the funniest and most engaging professor I've had thus far! When you're in class, you feel like you're at a TED talk. Despite learning about a dull topic (politics), he finds a way to spice it up. Tests are fair, and the paper was alittle bit difficult. Nonetheless, if i had to take another PLSC course, id take it with him.

Bruce is by far one of my favourite professors I've had so far. He's very good at making the driest subjects entertaining. Not only is her hilarious, but he's a fair marker and very clear with his expectations. I would highly recommend taking his class as an elective.

Super funny / interesting guy; disgustingly liberal though and he makes that clear in lectures through very biased opinions. 10/10 would take the class with him again though!
