This person is the reason why society invented retirement. The professor's lectures are so useless, people stopped showing up. So he made it to where every time you don't show up to lecture, he takes a point off your average. The only reason he teaches is to feel relevant and him making his class near impossible just makes him feel more important.

The lectures is only pp slides and difficult to follow along. He will teach you more concepts than examples so it's necessary to keep up with your homework to attempt passing the tests. I'm afraid of asking him questions because he talks down to students. If you did well in physics, this course should be easier than stated. If not, good luck.

If you want to pass this class don't procrastinate and do all the homework before every exam. Lectures are boring and won't be helpful for the exams but stick through it because you don't want your grade going down because of not coming to class. This class will challenge you but hopefully, it will be worth it. An A is possible with hard work.

By far the worst professor in my experience. Spends about 80% of the time teaching us how to talk like him rather than actual circuit analysis. I know that doesn't make sense but it will once you take him. He teaches vague and basic theory only and expects you to apply it to difficult problems on the exam. He's so hard to follow during lecture.

The TA's are incompetent (or whoever is grading the tests). Make sure you look over your tests during office hours. They tend to miss some points when grading. Kearny doesn't teach. You'll have to learn most of the material on your own.

Kearny is by far the worst engineering professor I had in my 4 years at UTA. His lectures are purely based on Powerpoint slides, and he refuses to work through problems in class. I went into his office hours to try to look at my test, and he refused to acknowledge a blatant grading error. Awful professor. UTA NEEDS to fire him.

His lectures are thorough in the material, but lacks application. Making an A is possible, but much hard work is needed. Tests are brutal, they come straight from his homework, extra credit, and additional problems in his website. Definitely recommend learning the material and application (examples) from YouTube or a Circuits tutor.

Run! Do not take this class, look for alternate options from a different school and transfer the credit here. Do not waste your time and money, they try to fail as many as possible! He doesn't teach!

His lectures are pointless and provide almost zero help for the tests. Homework problems are much different than material introduced in the lectures, test problems are much different than the HW material. Teaches only basic theory and expects you to be able to apply it to difficult problems.

His lectures are long and boring. He rambles about the theory behind the material but does not do any problems in class yet his tests are all about problems and no theory. You could get by with the online homework and supplement material but he makes attendance mandatory. Overall a bad experience.

Professor rambles on pure rubbish throughout the class. Only a few of what he says matters and his wording of concepts do not help. What he says in lecture are no help for Exam. Only reason why I show up is because after 3 u excused absences he takes away from your overall grade. Rubbish professor, UTA needs to replace.

He teaches you the material from top to bottom, however the application of the material is rarely in his lecture. He expects you to think and apply what you learned on the homework. The A is very possible, but you can not fall behind and you must give this class a lot of hours a week, especially during TA hours. Homework gives you extra credit

Let get this straight, "you earn what you work for". He's an extremely hardest prof I've ever had . All you have to do is to complete as many problems as you can for your own good, practice them over and over again until you master them because you will not have a chance to think at the exams. Work with the TAs, seriously. Got 59, 101, 102, & an A

Honestly, lectures are only helpful makes sense for the 1st half of the semester. You NEED to be there to understand the basic concepts or else you WILL fail. The 2nd half makes no sense at all, sign in and leave if you'd like. Advice: work the HW with the TA, do all HW! Tests were not that bad. I got 72, 99, and 95 for tests.

Worst professor I've had. Like others have said, he teaches theory and little application and just points at the slides. After the first test, the only way to figure out how to do the online hw is to find an EE major, use the TA, or get a tutor. His only redeeming quality is that if you email him with a specific hw question, he is very helpful.

Very clear lectures, lenient homework grading (completion by end of semester) Content itself can be difficult, however he makes it easy as long as you follow along the lectures. DO NOT SKIP CLASS he puts the echo360 recordings up but don't tell yourself you will watch it and skip YOU WON'T. If you ask for help he is more than willing to assist.

Class is based mostly on theory and looking at "ink spills" as he calls it. This class needs to be trimmed down to a brief over view of the theory and then in depth look at examples and possible applications in the real world. TA's are a huge help

This is a very difficult class. You will need to spend alot of time studying. He is a difficult professor and his exams are homework problems that are made more difficult. He is very helpful and always available through email if you need help. This class is much more comprehensive than similar courses at other universities.

Lectures are a waste of time. Like many have said he throws out a ton of theory and absolutely no application. Unfortunately he teaches almost all of the Circuit I classes. Take someone else if you can he adds nothing to the subject. Due the homework and the guest login homework. TA are extremely helpful

Great professor, tough class, and a real time eater. No need to take notes during lecture, they're all on pdf to download. For this class the main focus is the homework. If you don't do the hw and extra hw, you're going to fail because this is where the material for exams come from.
