I cannot explain how dumbfounded I was every day coming into this class. To sugar-coat it, he is a very smart man but lacks a lot of other qualities for me to respect him. I would highly recommend not taking a course with this professor. He gets lost in thought and explains extremely simple concepts far too extensively.

Terrible prof. Doesnt know how to teach at the students level. Basically just does equations on the board all class while muttering to himself and not explaining a single thing. Will call on people randomly. Dont take this prof, take literally anyone else. I would rather be taught by the unabomber.

Well, he's a really bad teacher. He explains things like he's talking to a mathematician. But you do not need to pay attention in lectures or even show up to get a good grade. The homework is pretty easy, easier than anything he explains in class. The homework teaches you all you need to know. The tests are the same as the homework so no worries.

Professor Partridge is not good at teaching at all. He does not help you understand the material, in fact he confused me even more when I would ask questions. He writes on the board and briefly explains what's going on. If you don't have prior knowledge of college algebra and can't teach yourself, DO NOT TAKE THIS COURSE WITH HIM.

Professor Partridge tries really hard to be helpful and funny, however it does not come across that way. You do not need to even go to class. Just come to sign the attendance sheet and leave because attendance does affect your final grade. He admits he does not make the tests or even know what is on them. This is a very self-taught course.

He is a very sweet older man, however his teaching style is very unique.... if you are able to understand him, great! To pretty much everyone in the class he is writing in another language. If you somehow end up with him as a professor here's what to do. Read the book, take note on how to do HW problems & talk to him after a handwritten test for EC

If you don't have prior knowledge of algebra or don't really remember it, don't take this course with him. He teaches in a confusing way and not from the textbook. I succeeded in this class by mymathlab so if you do end up with him, do the homework. The tests and quizzes are the same as the homework.

This professor is by no means an easy A, but is well worth your time and effort to take his course. Dr. Partridge expects you to read the book and study and do many problems. You have to do your part. This professor is knowledgeable and also entertaining. Highly recommend.

He should be teaching math majors only. His explanations wander around, go back and forth, and are not very comprehensible. His typed material looks like code. The average on one of his tests was only 36%. He curves the grades but that is still demoralizing. Also he is a very nerdy, geeky type and is not much respected. Avoid him.

He introduces topics without really explaining anything about them before hand, expecting students to just understand exactly what he's trying to prove in the problem. Not a single math tutor or other prof I went to for help could understand his methods of solving problems. The only reason I was able to get an A was because I had taken Calc in HS.

WORST PROFESSOR AT TOWSON BY FAR. The man just cannot teach. His old age must have gotten to him and he expects students to know what he's talking about without explaining anything. This class and Goode's class are basically 2 completely different courses. Do yourself a favor and DO NOT take a class with this professor and take ANYONE ELSE.

To pass Discrete Math, simply memorize the proofs to his theorems that he writes on the board and you will ace his exams. He doesn't give homework, and the quizzes he gives are done together as a class so there's no way you can fail on those either. Funny guy too. Take this professor over Dr. Goode for Discrete Math. He's pretty okay.

Do not take this class, with this professor if you have never taken Calculus before. The only reason I got a good grade was because I had background knowledge from taking calculus in high school. You will be utterly confused all semester if you have never taken calculus before because his way of teaching calculus is confusing/ hard to follow.

Jumps right into problems without explaining what he's doing or what is going on. Also calls on people in the class to do things that they can't possible know how to do. Had to drop this class ASAP.

Very nice man but not too great at teaching Calculus. He struggled to get the information in a way that could be learned. Expected students to know how to do problems even if you'd never taken a calc class. I wouldn't recommend taking him. He curves all the exams because without a curve everyone would fail.

Comment:
lectures are extremely unclear, he doesn't explain what hes doing in each step. The problems on the tests are shown only once in class. Quizzes have nothing to do with whats on the tests or whats covered in class. Literally everyone in the class failed the tests so bad he had use huge curves just to make the grades look semi decent.
