Comment:
Tries to help, but if you ask her a question, she goes in a round-about way to answer and then doesn't always answer the question. Must ask in several ways to get the answer you need. Loves literature, but directions and syllabus are confusing and I always had to clarify what she wanted me to do on project. Easy grader, but tedious weekly projects.

Professor Donahoe decided to grade all of my papers during finals week. She lost all of my papers somehow and I had to reprint out everything and turn it in to her on the last day of finals. She is very unorganized and half of the time will ramble about the same topic for hours. Avoid any of her 3 hour long classes.

Everything said prior to this comment is ACCURATE. Her teaching style is outdated and is lost to those taking her class. Instruction and direction leave much to be desired--and that's putting it nicely. Her grading is quite inconsistent and she loves her commas! If you end up having her, good luck! You will need it. But if you can avoid it, do so.

In 308 you work in a group to present a chapter. I don't have a problem with working in a group, but when other groups are presenting all the material, that's when I have a problem. She is a very nice teacher, just listen, be nice, and see her if you have questions, and you'll pass. Doesn't use Canvas, and seems to hand out final grades.

Donahoe is an extremely kind person, but she has no business being a professor anymore. She is the worst professor and should not be represent CWU. Rambles on and on, seriously think she has a memory problem! Everyone is fed up because she doesn't explain anything and no one has a clue what is going on in class! AVOID THIS PROFESSOR.

I am only a few weeks in and many of us are so fed up. Nice lady but she doesn't answer questions or follow syllabus. I am avoiding her from now on. We couldn't understand what she was asking for on the quiz and after a while of asking the same question and having her not understand that we didn't know what she wanted she just gave us all A's...

AVOID! She is a sweet lady don't get me wrong but oh my gosh what a terrible example of a teacher. First off she can't hear very well (doesn't have a disability, just old) so be prepared to shout. She also decides we need help learning conventions and teaches it beyond confusing. She means well but just doesn't practice what she preaches.

THE WORST teacher I have ever encountered grades K-College. Completely unclear, rambles, lecture are unrelated to activities being presented. No standard rubric, completely unorganized. I am in shock that she is still employed at CWU. Her methods are redundant and counter what is being taught in professional development courses (EFC courses)

This teacher gave us no rubrics for anything. Directions were unclear. Anytime a student asked a question, she would not answer it and say "Just let me talk." She gives out assignments, but does not collect them. Her grading is completely random and arbitrary with no set standard.

The worst professor I have ever had. Horrible at giving back work for feedback purposes. Won't write things on instructions but expects you to know them. Didn't give us the livetext assignment until two weeks before the end of the quarter. Boring lectures and she's horrible at answering questions about anything.

Thinks the placement of your commas is more important than good writing. Has you practice cursive, and marks you down even when you trace the sheet. Wastes entire class periods explaining assignments. Gives 3rd grade level homework assignments. Can be really frustrating, mostly because she's spacy and doesn't listen to reason sometimes.

Possibly the worst teacher I have ever had.. I don't know if she did a lot of drugs when she was younger, or what, but she is in outer space all the time. Loses papers, forgets to collect assignments, shows up 15+ minutes late to class every day.

I don't know what to say other than she is nice, but is somewhat of a hippie. She is out there in all her stories, has never followed a syllabus, lives in her own world, and can piss you off. I believe she should NOT represent CWU.

She was very spacey, never remembered when things were due. When you asked her to explain further she practically ignored you trying to make you feel like you are stupid for asking any questions at all. Goes by a corsepack that she made and even if you do not cover it in class and it is not assigned she expects you to complete anyways. AVOID HER!
