Comment:
He's a bit eccentric, so be prepared for that. It's worth going to class just to see him get excited about Cervantes. He has a way of connecting all of the works we've read to each other. Initially, I wasn't sure about him, but I like him a lot and I'd take another class with him.

He is the worst teacher ever. Unclear, late for class all the time, doesn't explain things. Or if he does explain something, it's WAY over explained. Such a useless teacher, I have lost knowledge in his class. Never try to learn Spanish from him. It's saddening. He never shows up. He needs to retire or refine his teaching methods. Don't take him.

You write 3 essays plus the final. Professor uses the text to say anything. He basically finds a line and tells you what he thinks it means and rambles for awhile. Going to the seminar is sometimes hard, but I would recommend going. His class syllabus is uncomprehendable it is a list of notes. He did not cancel class much 3 times.

We had two final grade options on the syllabus: A and B. He obviously does not care about the class--cancels a lot, doesn't read our papers, and is very noncommittal and unsure about due dates and even entire assignments. I have learned a fair amount of factoids about language, though my Spanish has certainly not improved...

Easy teacher overall, nice, but not the most interesting. Teaches straight from the textbook. If you are confident in your ability to speak Spanish at an intermediate high school level, he will like you and give you an A. No homework, just some recommended study sections.

Verrrry nice guy. Mumbles a bit at the beginning of classes, but you can get the gist of it. Has a tendency to cancel classes a LOT, but you still learn a fair amount. Highly recommended.

Very nice guy. He spends all class talking, but you can jump in any time. Definitely one of the easiest Honors preceptors. Just three papers.

Good professor - class was easy - fairly lenient grading so long as you put in the effort. Probably my favorite language professor. Hint: If you take the Spanish lit classes, the library has English translations of many of the texts you need to read...come prepared to wow with your masterful comprehension of medieval Spanish lit.

He's a good guy, pretty insightful, but went way too easy on us. If you like to talk and not write papers, this is the class for you.
