Weekly assignments that you can resubmit within 2 weeks. Very relaxed on grading. He teaches a class that is difficult to lecture, so they aren't entirely useful. You can understand everything from a youtube video. It was a very enjoyable class that also wasn't that difficult. I highly recommend it.

Too smart to teach this class. Within a month, everything he says will go over your head. Quizzes come straight from the book and most programs can be flubbed through.

Intro to Fortan 77. The 77 stands for 1977. Time for an update. Fastook is smart, but expects everyone to know what he is talking about from day one. Uses same tests every year, and all answers are in the back of the 3 decade old book. Find someone with old tests & programs and memorize. Fortran is useless, memorize for one semester and move on.

Comment:
1. Refuses to use new edition of book because of solutions. Copies old edition of book - slanted and forgets pages. 2. Class is worthless, no connection between projects. 3. Can't really help you because he's disconnected from the book material. Smart researcher, crappy teacher. It could be a good class is someone came in and reworked it.

Extremely easy class required for CS majors. Homework is easy but very boring.

His lectures on the subject material were very unclear and material we needed to complete projects (100% of our grade) was not always covered in class. The projects were also very difficult and time consuming.

haha, I was about to say the same thing. Hard to follow in lectures, doesn't explain what he is doing and what the programming does.

All over the place... hard to follow... no flow. Lecture is a waste you're better off skipping it and reading the book.
