LOVE Dr. Tkacik! Participate in class for a good grade, but make sure it is on topic and constructive. There are only three grades in this class- I took it as an honors class. Pay attention to the small details because the exams are written. Tkacik is always willing to meet outside of class and office hours. Course is a tad difficult but worth it.

Dr. Tkacik (pronounced "case-ick", just trust me) is a great professor. His lectures are funny, he cares a lot about his students, and he explains things well. Personally I was in an honors section, but in my class the exams were essay tests (my only dislike of the course). He makes you read Catch-22, and the tests are just about all that's graded.

Foreign Policy was the BEST class ever! So glad I took it. It's a grad level course but graded like any other undergrad course. If you plan on pursuing your education, this is a must take class. I'm getting my master's in IA currently and my International Affairs graduate course is so easy thanks to the lectures and readings in this class.

His class is ridiculously difficult. I tried my best to keep up with the readings but it's almost impossible. I was in a T-TR class and would assign a reading everyday, two over the weekend. The exams were based on your thesis' of each article. I dropped before taking the first exam. EXTREMELY difficult. He teaches like it's a graduate class.

Dr. Tkacik is a great person. I admire him. However, his teaching style was hard for me. I am not a person that likes politics/government. He does not do PowerPoints. Which I hated. You take notes based off what he is saying. So if you dont understand it you really dont have much to go off of. I dont recommend if you struggle with government.

Dr. Tkacik is an amazing professor. He definitely knows what he is talking about and is absolutely hilarious and will keep you interested during the lecture with plenty of personal stories. He only has three tests including the final with plenty of extra credit throughout the year. Very nice to have a prof that cares so much about his students.

I LOVED professor Tkacik! He makes his lectures very interesting and you can tell he knows what he is talking about. He has the most amazing and funny stories that he tells when the class needs a little laugh. He does not use powerpoints so you have to take notes based on his lectures. The tests are fairly easy if you read the assigned readings.

He's a wonderful person super funny! His class was so hard for me. I sat in the very front row and still didn't understand his lecture. I went to office hours which helped me a little but did not get the grade I wanted in the class. If you are a freshmen I would not recommend. We even had an Student Instructor for the class and that did not help.

I didn't think I was going to like this class but he was a great professor. With the way he lectures if you miss class you will be behind. He cares that you understand the material and will take time to re-explain if some don't understand. He makes jokes to keep the class interested and understands that the class is mandatory overall great teacher

This professor is great. I took his political science class and overall I really gained knowledge over the subject. The class was very challenging but if you pay attention to his lectures you'll do fine.

This is one of the best professors I have had at SFA. He really knows what he is talking about and his lectures are easy to follow. I should have read the book a little more but I got a B from just lectures. He offered so many extra credit opportunities. He is funny and I am sure I deserved a C but homeboy got me a B. Take his class

He's an amazing guy/engaging and I took him because this site said to, and I regret it. He only gives 3 tests the whole semester so fail one and you probably won't get an A. It's mostly ALL LECTURE BASED, so even though he doesn't count attendance, if you skip you will miss material. He includes specific details from lecture on test questions.

I am honestly thoroughly impressed with his teaching! This has always been a hard subject for me to understand, but he really breaks it down and makes sure it's comprehensible. He uses profanity, and some obscenities, but I think it's in a respectful manner. This guy is a really respectable, and intelligent man. I would totally recommend him!

Tkacik is so smart and tells it to you straight. You get out what you put in. Come to class, read the book, take notes, go to SI, do the reviews and do the extra credit. There are 4 easy tests that he makes funny/ stupid answer choices for. He keeps the class entertained and is passionate about the subject. TAKE HIM, you won't be disappointed.

Tkacik was by far my favorite professor last semester. His lectures are really long, but he makes it intriguing. Make sure to take notes because they're 50% of the test! If you don't read, you don't do well on the tests. He's a really great guy, but you've gotta work for the grade in this class! Go to class, read the book GO TO SI!!!

Tkacik is such a funny guy. He is hilarious so his lectures were always fun and interesting. Take great notes and read the book and you should pass. He is a busy man so you have to make an appointment to meet with him but he really cares about his students. I am not good or interested in political science but he makes the class fun.

Tkacik is one of the best professors at this school. He understands the class is mandatory and tells hilarious stories to make it less boring. He genuinely cares about everyone and will take time to talk to you. Tests are sort of hard, but if you study and understand the material it's easy. Definitely take him if you can.
