Comment:
Alan is my advisor and I think he has done a great job, far better than the 4 other advisors I have been shuffled through since I started college, he actually cares. I have not had a lecture with him so I cannot grade him according to classes, but as a mentoradvisor he has been very helpful and is always willing to meet or help with anything.

doesn't go by the book very much. he is also very confusing, and not much of a help clearing up that confusion. if it were taught by a nicer, more interesting professor, it'd be a much more bearable class.

Like him as a person but his lectures are confusing. He helped me a lot when I went to see him about my test. Reading the textbook helped me understand the material a lot better. Go to the review sections before the exam!

Cobo-Lewis is a really bad teacher. He makes no sense at all, is obsessed with excel, goes a month without assigning any homework and then tells you on a Friday that he wants an assignment due on Sunday, takes literal MONTHS to get your test grades back, and uses a text book that doesn't match up with the course material. THANK GOD FOR THE TA.

I WAS really excited to takes stats, not so much anymore. He beats the simple things to death then skims over the hard stuff. He doesn't follow any type of schedule, he just makes it up as he goes. Thank goodness for extra credit and the TA!!!!

Lets just say that he needs to stop talking at some point because he just confuses you more!!! He is infatuated with using Excel and does so to the point that the theory he is teaching is hard to find amongst his computer programmer like skills that he has to show off. His TA Brandon Cosely is the saving grace in this course.
