Does not get assignments back on time, very unclear on how he wants the map assignments done. He reads all of his presentations off the board word for word. The class is not hard, just not really my style.

Falah is definitely misunderstood, I dont think his ratings reflect his class well. He really is a nice man and knows his course is only 2 credits so he wants everyone to pass. If you go to every class he bumps your grade a letter, his only grades are 3 tests and 1 assignment, but you can do an optional paper for 100 points. Easy gen ed

DON'T take him if you can. He's absolutely awful. He singles out students in front of the whole class (stops mid-lecture to do so), does not give clear grading criteria, and does not accept anyone else's opinion if it does not match his own. I never got publicly humiliated by him but I watched it happen many times and it was literally so stupid.

Will not discuss tests. If you do not write exactly what he has on the slide, he will give no points, even if the concept is correct. He told us (at the end of the semester) that if we have perfect attendance, he would raise our grade. This was not on the syllabus. The ironic thing abut that is he skipped a class and failed to notify us.

Not a bad teacher, but his tests are very unpredictable and are the majority of your grade. He offers a boost of one letter grade if you are there for every class.

I enjoyed all of my professor so far but if I had to say the one that I disliked the most then it would be this one. He isnt horrible or anything like that. He doesnt tell when our tests are on the syllabus and you have to be in class in order to know It. His homework instruction was unclear and we all had to redo it. He takes forever to email.

His lectures are word for word off the PowerPoint. He adds almost no additional details, and basically stares at the computer reading it. He tends to flaunt his credentials whenever someone critiques something. Definitely an intelligent man, and he has taught at great schools, but he seems to be annoyed teaching here at Akron.

Falah is a sweet heart. His class is not hard as long as you take notes of the powerpoints (which he posts online). He teaches knowing his course is a gen ed and wants to see everyone succeed. He cancels class a good bit especially after tests. Very smart and well rounded guy with much knowledge. I would take again easiest class of my semester.

Falah is a tad bit hard to understand but he uploads all powerpoints onto Brightspace. He cancels class often. Everything is as stated in syllabus. I personally did not use the book once as the tests are straight from the notes. He is super easy going. Offers a grade boost if you attend all classes. Average teacher. Took for Geo. Cul. Diversity.

Dr. Falah was really great. I actually enjoyed being in class with him. If we were done, he let us go. We finished all the material early, so cancelled a few classes. He met us individually to work on final paper. Great professor

He annouced the very first day of class if you do not miss any class he will bump up a whole letter (I didnt miss any class and he did). Yes, a bit difficult to understand with his accent but the slides are up with all the information you need. Only 3 tests fairly easy, extra credit opportunity available. I would recommend him.

his class quite easy if you pa attention. He is very knowledgeable about his subject i think he is the best so far. yes he has an accent but that does not make not good. very Unique. every thing is in power point which make it easy. I would recommend him. He publish a lot and very smart. Just ask if you need anything he will be happy to help. great

He's not as bad as everyone makes him out to be. The tests were straight out of the power point, paper was harder but doable. He is a little hard to understand at times, but overall it was better than I expected.

This class isn't nearly as bad as others are saying, especially if you show up & pay attention. You don't need the textbook. His english isn't very clear but you get used to it quickly. Tests are a curveball, but he curves & offers extra credit. He's somewhat difficult to get in contact with, but overall he's a great guy & the class is worth it.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS. powerpoints are word for word out of the text book. Exams are like playing Trivial Pursuit, you never know what he is going to ask. bumps grades up at the end of the semester to avoid complaints.
