Though he struggled a bit with the online stuff and the homework kind of went out the window, he was relatively clear about what needed to be done and the tests and quizzes were clear and concise. Although he would often make mistakes early on in an example problem and it was up to me and another student to correct him lol.

I had Atzema's Calc 3 during COVID, and at the beginning of the semester, he struggled a little bit with everything being digital. I must admit that his class is hard, especially when it's virtual math, but he really puts the effort in to teach the class to the best of his ability. He always has good office hours and offers lots of partial credit.

His lectures can be difficult to follow at times, and sometimes his examples don't clearly demonstrate concepts. He has lots of office hours outside of class for help, and is very interested in the subject. Take advantage of practice tests as they're fairly similar to exams. Explorations are far more difficult than homework/tests.

Atzema is pretty average. He's a great guy, very accessible, but has trouble communicating things when his students get stuck. He's a very fair grader, lots of partial credit, but on the other hand his tests always involve insanely hard questions, much harder than what is covered in class and homework.

Solid prof, wont get much better then him, some people don't like him but I don't see anything wrong with him, his exams are tricky, but put in the time and he will always help in office hours

While he's not the best choice for those that aren't interested in math due to his speed, his lectures are intuitive and he does a good job of making it clear what is expected of the students. He shows an honest interest in the subject matter and in the students and will go beyond the subject matter with individuals should they ask for it.

Great guy, bad teacher. Class was an absolute snooze fest. He runs through material very quickly, and if a question is asked he will explain it essentially the same way. Earned As in Calc. I and II, and a C+ in this class. Also averaging an A in Differential Equations, so this class was the GPA killing outlier. Avoid this guy.

Helpful outside of class. Has slight accent that is difficult in the start, but gets better. I thought of switching Week 2, but was glad I stuck with it. Exams pull from HW worksheets, in-class examples and practice tests. Homework is WAY harder than actual exams.

Atzema is a pretty decent guy; however, his class is horrible. He will work through problems, but very rarely are they on the test. If you are confused then you are pretty much on your own. He will see you after-hours, but I fear he is too intelligent to help/communicate with the majority. I recommend another class.

Eisso Atzema likes to rush through topics. Either he assumes everyone is a math savant or he shows off his knowledge by going fast as possible. If you ask him a question, he will answer it the same way he explained it at the exact same speed. He is a fairly nice grader. Other than that, I would not choose to take another class with him.

Eisso is a nice enough guy. If you need extra help, he will be more than willing to try and help you understand. Tests were mostly different than previous exams that he gives out, which made it hard to study for.

Tests weren't anything like what we were going over and a lot of the homeworks were complicated and tedious. Nice enough guy but he just doesn't communicate well enough for my liking. I don't recommend this teacher, Steenbergh is better

As long as you go to class you are going to pass; however he is unbelievably arrogant, class is extremely confusing, and it is beyond boring. He just puts problems up on the board and says "there so you know this". Lacks any ability to teach material.

Great professor, nice guy, very funny and willing to help. Goes over lots of examples in class, goes over nearly every homework problem on the assignment before you turn it in. Give lasts years exams as the practice test which are very similar to the current year test. tests are much easier than homework. will answer any question you ask

The only uses for his lectures are catching up on the sleep that you missed doing the useless homework that has nothing to do with the exams that are too long to finish in the given 50 minutes. people that say calc 3 is easier than calc 2 obviously never took calc 3 with Eisso. I spend most time trying to comprehend what he writes on the board

Atzema is a very intelligent professor. A lot but is willing to help as long as you ask. The tests and explorations were much easier than most of the homework. Although the homework isn't required, you will be at a loss on the test without the practice. He is also very receptive to questions, and doesn't mind repeating something if its unclear.

Very hard to follow. I think a kindergardener has better hand writing. Goes way to fast, gives homework that is irrelevant to what will be on the exams. unfair with his grading. In other words avoid this professor!
