Comment:
He doesn't really explain anything except how to enter stuff into a calculator. I am yet to see him get through one of his own example problems without becoming stumped or saying something contradictory. Tests and homework are also completely different to what is done in class. If you want to actually learn finance, do not take his class

Wade is one of the worst professors I have taken at SCU. The first test was very easy, the second test was nearly impossible; both of which included material he barely taught or didn't teach at all. Spends class time making jokes and going over select problems with which sometimes struggles. I have taught myself the material. Really disappointing.

If you take him, you will probably end up self-teaching yourself all the material. He only lectures and scribbles on the board, no ppt or anything is used to help you follow along. He tends to make a lot of mistakes in his answer keys and example problems in class, so often I leave class feeling more confused.

The single worst professor I've ever taken. Rude, lacks knowledge of the subject material, self-important, takes no interest in his students, unhelpful. Do anything you can to get out of his class.

Wade is an amazing business professor. Extremely intelligent, lots of experience, and you will never laugh as much as you do in his class. I enjoyed him so much I took him for FNCE 121 and 124. 124 is less structured than 121, but you have to keep trading on Stocktrak and using the techniques he goes over.

Worst teacher that I have ever had at SCU. Rude, entitled, and lacks structure. Not what I was expecting from an intro Finance class.

One of the best professor's I've ever had at SCU, but get on his good side and it'll help you later. For exams and quizzes, focus on problems covered in-class. Text is a good supplement but don't rely on it. Listen to to his lectures...and I mean really listen, don't just copy everything from the board... you'd be surprised how much info you retain

Professor Wade is not very clear and this class lacks structure. He is not very helpful in office hours either. Overall I would not suggest this professor for an introductory finance class

Wade may seem unclear and not knowledgeable about his subject, but the guy's accomplishments speak for themselves. Keep your mind open, and you'll pick up that not only does he know his stuff, but also that the way he goes about it reveals a humble side not prone to most professors of the business school. Take him, he's great :]

Best professor I had at SCU bar none. The guy has accomplished so much in the business world and wants his students to do the same and furthers that desire through the use of his own contacts in the business world. This guy shouldn't just be teaching at SCU, he should be running SCU. he's hilarious and is the only prof I keep in touch with from SCU

He was a substitute teacher in a way. No homework just do what you need to do to prepare for test/quizes. Doesn't require expensive books. Gave exact example of what was going to be on the test. Fun teacher and made accounting as fun as possible. I would recommend going to his office hours. Curves grades.

Awesome teacher! Very knowledgeable, organized and enthusiastic. Extremely helpful and devoted to his students. Very down to earth and willing to listen and change strategies if needed to help the learning process. One of the smartest finance professors I have had at SCU, loved every minute of his classes. I highly recommend taking Wade's class!

There's only one Professor Wade. And you can only get his unbridled business-war stories and commentary in this class. I suppose there are office hours as well for the unintiated...

Wade is an god of investments, but he'll never mention it to you. He is half of a dynamic duo, made up of himself and Tony Nguyen, the Robin to his Batman. Do the reading and then speak up in class, put effort in and build your interest in investments. He'll often tie in ethics to investing and you'll be a better for it.

He's absolutely funny, but that kinda gets in the way of the material and presenting it in a clear way. He's there for his office hours, but how helpful he is...that's up in the air. Reading the book is definitely helpful, but if you can do the problems he assigns, your gold. Overall a pretty good intro class and experience. B+
