Professor Farr was more lighthearted than most professors, and his lectures always held my attention. He was always willing to help, and he only got frustrated when we weren't taking the class seriously. He was my favorite professor at WPI, and everyone reading this missed out now that he's retired. 350 characters isn't enough to do him justice.

Honestly a great guy, he knows how difficult Calc 3 can be and really wants you to pass the class. I'm taking his course during his last term at WPI and he will be missed.

Very good professor, gave the chance to use a cheat sheet on every test, making every test very doable. Also, he puts all his notes online and you can skip lectures and not fall too far behind. His way of taking notes is very helpful, and he gives answers to practice tests (which can go on the cheat sheet!), best math class ever taken.

Profesor Farr is an amazing teacher. His explanations in class are very good and he gives good examples. IF you do not understand in the lecture go to his office hours, he gives very good explanations and is a big help. The tests are tough, but he gives partial credit and is a very fair grader.

Farr is literally the best math teacher I've ever had. He's really good at explaining the material he teaches and is really funny in class. The tests are almost the exact same as his practice tests with a few numbers switched. Also when he makes a witty comments he twitches his eye brows as if hes proud of himself and its hilarious.

If you haven't had a class with Farr, you're missing out. He is an amazing, hilarious person. His lectures are very straightforward (a bit monotonous, but it's Calculus). He gave three exams that were 75% of the final grade, so study hard! Otherwise, the homework and labs are fair. Great prof, I hope to take more of his classes in the future.

There's a reason this guy's office wall is literally covered in letters praising his teaching. Farr is easily one of the more helpful Professors at WPI and wants you to pass with flying colors. Only downside I have is that the lectures themselves are monotonous.

I didn't really attend any classes because they were so boring, long, and I was learning nothing. Therefore I did not do well on the tests but the homework's were so easy. Conferences are no help, no one attended them either and the ones who did said they weren't helpful. I do not recommend this guy if you have trouble with boring professors.

Professor Farr has a very straightforward and clear teaching style. Even when I was confused during lecture, everything made sense in the long run because he is so organized. I never went to office hours, but I can imagine that he is extremely helpful. If you are going to take this class, definitely take it with Professor Farr!

Very good teacher! He is thorough and descriptive in his lectures. The material on the test is not a surprise and if you pay attention you will be prepared. Class is enjoyable as he makes jokes to lighten things up. Take advantage of his office hours. He is willing to go through any questions you have and help anywhere you need it.

Professor Farr is an awesome guy. He's probably one of my favorite professors at WPI. His lectures are very clear, he's easy to find in his office and gives clear explanations.
