One of the greatest CS professors at UML, gives you a good head start on the homework so you're only doing the parts that teach you something. Go to class, read the slides, listen to his pre-exam slides and you'll do fine. Some of the projects are slogs (both for OS and architecture) but show you did work and you'll get partial.

He makes all the material available online -- book is unnecessary. Provides exam review packets, gives generous starter code & other help for programming assignments. Did not scale exam scores. Promptly replied to emailed questions w/ thoughtful, helpful information. His lecture notes perfectly summarized whatever topic the class was covering. A+++

Professor Moloney does a good job teaching a complicated and dense course. More than anything, it's very clear that he wants you to succeed. The best advice I can give is to do all of the homework to the best of your ability and to turn it in on time. Even if your test scores end up being low, he factors in the effort you put into the homeowrk.

Bill has been teaching for a long time. I have coworkers who had him for Operating Systems nearly 20 years ago. He is an OS expert and has worked with a number of respected people in the field. He's distilled the content down to exactly what you need. Show up for lectures, do the homework, and study the slides. You'll learn a lot and score well.

Bill would make such a good professor for Assembly. Unfortunately, only Kim and David Hendrickson do it. Back on topic: Bill takes out the busy work in all the assignments. He gives you what you need to start the assignments and provides exam help documents to help you prepare for his exams. Legendary professor who knows how to run a class.

This is the best professor you will find anywhere. I have taken him for OS and Architecture both hard courses that were made much less painful by this PROfessor. If you go to UML you better hope he is still teaching. Really nice guy who knows literally everything. His tests are easy since he gives you examples that are similar to actual questions.

Amazing and awesome classes. He know so much and everything is at his finger tips. Grad OS class is hard and home works are harder. He is enthusiastic to help if you ask. Text book is dry but his lectures are rich in content and opens a new world.

Moloney is a great professor, probably one of the best in the department. He gives help files before exams that are basically the exam with different questions. The assignments are difficult, but he'll help you a lot if you email him with questions. Wouldn't take computer architecture or OS with anyone else.

Extremely talented guy. I had him for Architecture and OS, and he was a complete wizard in both subjects. Keeps up to date on modern technologies. Examsassignments are fairly easy and he gives good partial credit. I think he can be a bit TOO clear sometimes - a bit redundant about information. Would recommend over many others.

Bill is the perfect, ideal systems course professor. He is fluent in the entire history, while being completely current. He gracefully moves through abstraction layers, showing how things fit, and why decisions were made. He speaks a lot, using more words than visuals. He puts everything there for you to succeed, you just need to do it.
