Comment:
Grades the midterm and final exam essays very harshly... she grades as if this is a doctorate class. She expects too much from a lower level class. Do yourself a favor and take this course with another professor!!

I had Dr. Marzotto as my political science internship coordinator for this semester. She is exceptionally clear in her expectations for the weekly written reports and research paper that are required. She also takes the time to actually read and provide substantive feedback on what you have submitted and is accessible if you need to meet in person.

I am a straight A student and took Doctor Marzotto for Towson Seminar. I received my first and only C in college by taking her! She is a very nice and understanding lady but not a good professor. She is a bit arrogant and is very unclear about what she wants from assignments, even if you go to her for clarity. I would not recommend taking her.

It's an online class, so expect to do some work for it! There are some online assignments that you will need to post and respond to others posts. The midterm was pretty easy. I haven't been reading the book but still got an A on it. At the end of the semester there is a paper. Always quick to respond to emails.

Fairly easy class. You have an online midterm and final, and two papers that. None of it is too bad. If you do the work and put in the effort you should be fine. It is all online so it does not require much effort. She can be a bit difficult to work with at times and is not always the clearest, but all in all not to bad.

Comment:
Marzotto is does not finish sentences, making follow her train of thought difficult. If a student asks a question that is answered on the syllabus, she rudely tells them to look it up and will not give an answer, even to a simple question. Unnecessarily rude and strict for teaching a freshman seminar.

I took her online for American Government. Marzotto is arrogant and acts like a know-it-all. Her tests/quizes are not that hard but even with cheating (using the book and google) I still missed far more than I should have. She has blackboard set up so you cannot see which ones you missed. Do NOT take her if you have a choice.

I took a special topics class with Marzotto, and whenever she spoke, everyone just kind of looked around at each other snickering and wondering "Is this lady for real?". I know students in the class that couldn't find anything in her lectures to take notes on, but have pages of the off-the-wall and COMPLETELY off topic things she would say. AVOID!!

AWFUL teacher. Never responds to emails, doesn't give feedback on essays or the paper, doesn't explain why or how she grades things. Syllabus is 20+ pages long! I worked harder on this class than any other classes this semester and only got a B. It's a 100 level class! DO NOT TAKE CLASSES WITH HER!

This was a special topics class and she will hopefully never teach it again. When she lectured nobody know what to take notes on. She couldn't figure out how to use youtube or powerpoint. Her test questions were so vague on top of her poor lectures that almost everyone did poorly - even diehard polysci majors.

She teaches this 100 level class like it's a doctorial class in Political Science. Avoid her at all costs. I have a 3.5 GPA and this class trashed it.

AVOID! Save your GPA & your sanity. One tough class especially for being a gen ed! She's so incoherent. She'll start talking and after a fit of uh & uhms will continue speaking only to veer off in a completely non-related direction. So many are failing her tests that she gives huge curves--she has to or no one would pass!! AVOID AT ALL COST!!

This prof is good, she tears up your papers and may let you resubmit. Her criticism is actually needed by most. Also I love how people complain that you have to actually read for her class. What did you expect to just show up and have the dean bow and hand you a degree and say "you are so wise we can teach you nothing".

Very difficult. Gives a lot of information in such a short amount of time and expected to know it all. Exams are difficult and so is paper. Very critical. Highly recommended not to take any of her classes.

I took her for Public Administration and thought she was very knowledgable about the subject. A few students in my class did not like her teaching style, but I think if you have at least some interest in the subject matter you will find that she can be informative. Not flexible on due dates

Very hard to do well in this class. She talks too fast, stutters, and you never know what she wants you to know. Tests are long and hard. There are four grades, 2 midterms, a paper and final. I would avoid taking her if you want a good grade.
