Comment:
This was Larry's first time teaching this class, and it showed. My friends and I would compare our graded test and we would get a different amount of points for the same answers. We would have 10% differences for very similar answers. Also, when he says "Briefly Explain", do not put more words than necessary, because you will get 0 points.

Dr Calhoun embodies what it means to be a boring professor. He has a very acute sense of dry humour and will occasionally sprinkle in jokes, but otherwise his lectures feel dreadfully long and painful. Helpful guy and the tests arent too bad, but not a dynamic prof at all.

Larry has a super dry sense of humor but hes hilarious. The course material went from easy to really hard though so if you're not good in organic or are looking for an easy A, this class isn't it. The textbook wasn't necessary but it was nice to have for practice questions.

As a non-science student, I really enjoyed this class. Dr. Calhoun's dry humour is great. I really like the fact that he put emphasis on applying the ideas taught in class and not memorizing stuff like nomenclature. His midterm and exam questions were very fair and were similar in difficulty to questions found in the textbook.

Dr. Calhoun's dry personality is hilarious. He explains difficult concepts well and definitely cares about student progress. If you do the assignments and questions in the back of the book you're golden!

Dr. Calhoun is an awesome guy! He's always willing to help. His midterms were extremely easy, although the exam was a little tricky, but fine if you put them time into understanding the more difficult material. Can't wait to take another class with him next term. Also, the textbook is expensive but definitely worth the money

Everyone says his finals are super hard, but the material at the end of the course is challenging, and the test is a fair reflection of that. If you can do the textbook exercises, you will be fine on the tests. Plus his dry sense of humor is the BEST EVER!! Compared to other profs in science, this prof is organized, helpful and has fair tests.

Larry is a very boring man. Not enthusiastic about the material. First midterm was hard, second was very easy. He slaughtered us with the final, and then had to curve the marks. Exclusively uses a test bank that does not seem to match the text used for the course. Some say he is helpful if you go to his office. He is a nice guy, just boring.

Dr. Calhoun's notes are organized and prepared before class. The first two midterms were really easy but the final was harder. This was mostly because the last material was harder and there was way more stuff to know. So study a LOT before the final. He will answer questions. The textbook is great. Make sure to do the problems in the text.

As previously said, his tests are very long. I found myself finishing the moment the class ended. However, don't be alarmed. He teaches extremely well. Has funny, but dry, witty humor. Does well especially for a class of 300. Exams are very fair, and goes out of his way with tut's to help. A+!
