Passed with an A-. I'm pretty sure she bumped everyone's grades a little, but her class is harder and involves more work than some of the other classes, but there are also teachers harder than she is. The flaw with Spanish at UT is at the department level not the teacher level. An A is possible, but it is a 94-100 so good luck.

Her class isn't hard, if you attend and don't miss anything you should pass. Explanations of the grammar concepts are lacking, and she certainly expects you to understand everything without a lot of explanation. Honestly, I didn't like this class, but it was decent.

Spanish is my major, so I had already learned most of what she taught us. If you struggle, avoid her for lower-level classes. She expects you to come to class having read and finished the homework completely, but as long as you are vaguely familiar enough with the stories to answer her questions, that will suffice. I liked her!!

I loved her. Yes her accent is thick, and she isn't too great at explaining things... But she is very kind, an easy grader, and knows when the department is making us do stupid things. She doesn't completely agree with the syllabus but she does stick with it.. So DO THE HOMEWORK!! and attend and you will get an A.

While she does have a thick accent, you get used to it after while. She is very kind and will explain things to you (in english) after class. She is entertaining and doesn't grade very harshly. Give answers in class when she calls for volunteers, and she'll love you.

Her accent is very thick and she isn't the brightest when it comes to technology. Therefore her class is a lot more boring then it should be. I would not recommend her for a lower level Spanish but your kinda screwed into taking her for 300. She also is very bad at explaining things that are irregular.

I would not recommend her for a lower level Spanish class. She has a thick accent so you will probably have a hard time understanding. The online grammar homework is very easy. The only vocab is stories you read bi-weekly and there's not much. If Spanish is your thing, definitely take her.

This class was much harder than I thought it would be. She has an extremely thick accent and I couldn't understand her in English or Spanish. She isn't very clear when "teaching" or as to how she grades. She didn't understand us when we asked questions and it seemed she didn't really care if we understood the material or not. I don't recommend her.

She has a strong accent from Spain that was very difficult to understand. She didn't answer or understand questions well. Class time was not used well and I felt that I learned more on my own. She doesn't post on blackboard making it hard to keep up with your grade. If I had to do it again I would choose a different teacher.

Good class, she'll help you with your grade, without being blatently obvious about it. The only bad thing is that she doesn't speak english or spanish very well. Both languages are heavily accented and sometimes incomprehensible. Just go to class, participate, and do the online & book homework (the only hard parts of the class) and you'll be fine.

She is a very nice teacher and talks slow compared to most native Spanish speakers. She sometimes does not understand questions, but if you go to office hours or after class she will talk to you in English. Do the homework on the syllabus because she doesn't always announce when she will check it.

She seems to speak English okay, but she doesn't understand any questions you ask her, she will simply tell you the right answer and if you ask her why something is not right, she will just say no no and tell you the right answer again. Really nice person and I think she curved a little, but not super helpful

This one is hard to rate because you can tell that she really wants to be a good professor but if you're in a 100-level class I think it's imperative that you be able to understand the professor and vice versa. She has a thick Spain, Spanish accent which makes it hard to understand her and she has problems understanding you too.

She's such a sweet woman! She really cares about her class enjoying and understanding the material. She has a strong accent, but you get used to it pretty fast. It also takes her a while to get used to the class's questions. At first, she doesn't understand your questions but she gets better once she gets to know you! I highly recommend her!

She's a very sweet lady. While difficult to understand, she tries to help as best she can. Attendance is mandatory and ther e is daily homework, but it's normally not due til the end of the semester, so you can procrastinate all you want. Overall, her class is fairly easy

She is very hard to understand when she talks and when I tried to ask her questions, I had to write them down so that she could understand me. She also doesn't help you out with the stories until after the story is complete, but by that time she has already given out a quiz.
