If you're looking for a class that won't require a lot of work take prof Weber. He lectures every class which can become boring, but you will not have to do the readings since he explains everything you need to know. There are 4 papers, all straight from the lectures and as long as you have notes it's easy to do well. Tends to end class late too.

They dont call him Easy Stevie for nothing. Class full of funny stories and useful information. 4 papers throughout the semester- gives you the exact answers you need for them you just have to make his notes into an essay to get an A. No midterm or final. He doesnt care if you show up but notes are necessary for the papers. Absolutely amazing man

Dr. Weber is great. Going to class doesn't seem mandatory if you can get notes from a friend. Only 3 papers and another paper as the final. Every class is just a lecture with no or little participation. Not too tough with grading. Loves his Cross Country team (you'll hear about them). There is reading for homework, but he just reiterates in class.

Dr. Weber is a really sweet guy, but the class is pretty dry. The readings are difficult and extensive and he doesn't explain much about them in class. There are no tests, but there are extensive essays that again, are only vaguely talked about in his lectures. It's not the worst, but also would not be my first choice in another philosophy class

Weber is a solid professor for your philosophy core. He gives 5 papers throughout the semester and these papers constitute your whole grade. Although he can be a bit of a rambler, his whimsical love for what he teaches and his wonder at the universe is palpable. Easy grader as long as you try.

Great lecturer, great professor. Only four papers all semester and he's very fair. Lectures and papers are based on the readings and most of them are interesting. He wants your thoughts, not just his lecture notes recited. Participation does matter, even if he uses you in one of his "experiments" to show or clarify a point a philosopher is making.

Really really nice and genuine man! Extremely helpful on papers (only 4 the whole semester) if you go in for office hours. You can tell how passionate he is for philosophy. Sometimes the lectures can get boring, but there are no tests or quizzes, just papers.

Weber is a really amazing teacher. 3-4 essays including the final. A lot of reading followed by explanation in class the next day. If you send him rough drafts of essays he will tell you what you need to fix.

Weber is a really nice guy and you can tell that he really cares about what he is talking about. I just have no interest in Philosophy and I find myself constantly bored in his class. His essays are easy enough though, if anything just lengthy.

Good teacher, but I was constantly confused about what material needed to be studied in class, he constantly jumps around to different people to show the example, but its hard for me to follow. Don't need to read at a B right now with not much outside of class effort. He makes philosophy bearable, which is impressive

Extremely clear on what material needs to be understood. Very enthusiastic and passionate when he speaks so it keeps class interesting. Attendance is mandatory and if you copy your notes you will get As on all papers. No tests or final -just a final paper.

Great person, cool teacher. He is really enthusiastic about what he teaches, but isn't always clear. If you just copy your notes, you will do well on papers he assigns. Also, no tests or quizzes!

You can get an A in this class, but be prepared to forget your own reasoning. He deems his interpretation best for an A paper. So just write your notes and you should get an A or A-. You must attend class or else, you won't do well on the papers. Don't have to read the books, he explains everything in class.

He is an absolute joy, one of the best choices that I have made to take him. Very reasonable, no tests or quizzes just papers. Definitely make sure that you go to class, because you'll miss his lectures which are not only fascinating but are more or less what the papers are about.

Nicest teacher I've come across at Loyola. Nicest guy in the world, talked about his girls track team all the time. No tests, quizzes, or need to read the textbook.. just 4-5 papers. Class is boring but it's fine. Very nice guy and fair grader. Impossible to get worse than a B, manageable to get an A. Take him

I thought this class would be an easy A. Nope! You can get a B easily but you will have to write some extraordinary insights for an A. His class is boring so it's hard to get all the notes down which are very important for papers. Not too much reading and 4-5 papers.

1 of the best teachers I've ever had. Good examples, very clear, loves teaching. Go to class, write everything down that he says, and your work outside of class will be minimal- all you do for papers is basically type up your notes to answer questions he gives you. Everything is covered in class so just take good notes.
