This class is something I looked forward to every day. She is very nice and puts humor into her lectures. It is a lot of notes but she does play videos to give your hands a break. She starts on time and we get out 25 - 40 minutes early every day! Tests are hard but if you do the flashcards online it is easier.

Lots of notes. All absences are excused;she doesn't accept late work so you have to go to class or get notes from someone else, but there is a 20 point easy extra credit assignment at end of semester which helps. Tests are ard, especially for a 1000 class. Map questions on the tests-make sure to look those up or prepare to do badly on the tests.

Mrs. MacArthur is very sweet, personable, and easy to learn from. She makes her leactures interesting. She doesn't just stand up in front of you and "lecture" she uses power point, then has us do a map, etc...I have really enjoyed learning about other countries and people. Tests are kind of hard but if you show up and do the work you should be okay

Easy material but Julie makes her tests harder than they have to be. Its a 2 hour class and I averaged 4 pages of notes (front & back) each class, and she doesn't let you use your laptops. The desks are puny and she expects you to use book, calculator, notes all at once. I finished the class with an A but it was harder than a 1000 level should be.

She is a good professor, tests can be difficult at times though, I studied for each one of them, went into the test pretty confident and still didn't do awesome, I didn't do bad in the class but I felt her tests were tricky or worded oddly. I would still recommended her

She is not very personable. Attendence is not required- however that is the only way to get the powerpoints, participation and notes for the exams. Basically no extra credit available. Not flexible for disabled students despite documentation. Class is interesting but hard. TINY desks and she expects you to use your book, calculator and notes on it.

I studied a lot for the tests. Her powerpoints had lots of holes in them so it was hard to get good notes to study. The tests consist mainly of what is on the study objectives she has. There are a few questions asking for information from the text so its a good idea to read that. Also, a lot of tedious work due and only 1 extra credit assignment.

Julie is a great professor and she is very helpful. This is an easy class. Just attend class (sometimes there were in-class assignments) and take notes (there are a lot of notes) and do the readings and you shall do fine! Some of the topics are actually really interesting too!

Extreamly easy. No new information, but it's still interesting. She's a really nice lady and makes everything almost too easy. Lots of notes but it's not bad.

She's a great teacher. There are a lot of notes, but they're straight off the power point 90% of the time. She gives tons of extra credit and the homework assignments are always really easy. As long as you take notes and go to class, it's really easy to get an A in her class.

She is the worst professor ever, she should not be teaching at a college level. Made the final the friday we get out of school at 8am and we don't even have class on friday. Everything she says is so "matter of fact" it makes me want to kill myself. This is the first professor I have ever just straight up hated.

At first, I hated this class. A TON of notes, but if you come to class, listen, and TAKE NOTES, expect to find yourself at an A the end of the semester. I don't have to take her final. The class actually turned out to be interesting. Imagine that. Good class. Great teacher. Highly reccommended!!
