She regularly loses homework assignments, and made changes to the homework schedule quite often. This got to such a point that halfway through the semester I was weekly downloading the schedule to make sure I wasn't missing anything. Some homework that was assigned weekly had no impact on the final exam, despite her claims that it would.

Professor Smith is a teacher I would avoid at all costs. With vague criteria on assignments and virtually impossible to get in contact with this class can quickly spiral out of control. Shes lost multiple assignments, exams, and papers. If you have the misfortune of taking her, keep EXTREMELY close records of everything you do for a grade.

By far the WORST professor I have had ever. She is a nice woman but extremely unorganized and will lose assignments that you have completed, but you won't know that until the end of the semester because that's the only time she inputs grades. She will never respond to your emails. She was sadly a large factor in my loss of interest in German

Prof Smith is nice and knows her stuff. This class wasn't at all challenging, and at the 400-level, I feel like it should've been more intense. A few short presentations, couple papers, and 2 exams. Not too demanding. Exams are written and can be tough if you don't show up and/or don't pay attention, but overall nothing to worry about.

Regina has difficulty with being timely and organized when assigning different things. She is very delayed and expects you to know everything before she teaches. She is unorganized, wastes time during class, and is the worst German professor I've had at GV. The course material was challenging; however, it was easy to learn if you read.

Nope. My advice is run away - or maybe request that someone else teach this class. A class at this level deserves a teacher who really cares and wants the students to do well, instead of a teacher who just "phones it in"

Expect homework everyday. Not clear on any assignments, not helpful at all. Takes all of the fun out of learning a new language. Never gives feedback, you never have any clue what your grade is until the very end. Very cold, not easy to talk to. I wonder why she is teaching at all.

She is VERY unorganized. Often emails homework last-minute (sometimes completely forgets). None of your grades will be posted in blackboard ever. It will be 100% blank. Invest in dictionary. ALL important info spoken in German (when class will be canceled, what homework is, etc.) Your transcript is the first and final time you will see your grade.

Professor Smith is a very nice person; she has a strange sense of humor. All though she is nice I felt I didn?t learn much. Partner work can be fun/useful but the directions for what you should be doing was not very clear and if you have a quiet partner it sucks!! She doesn?t teach grammar very well; in fact I never really felt I was learning anyth

Assigns a lot of group discussion. This is a very successful way to learn the language if you are in a group with people you like. If not, it's difficult. As long as you say SOMETHING in German, you're good. She knows her stuff, but seems distracted sometimes.

Horrible professor! I learned very little from her class. She is very nice, but she is a bit disorganized. Also, she assigns a lot of homework and group work. The work doesn't usually help you understand German any more than you can now. If you want to learn German, find a different prof.

Positive and helpful, but does way too much partner work. I don't feel as if I have as strong a grasp on german as i should have after one semester. The software is very good though.

Regina was no help when I asked her. The book work doesn't help you at all, and you speak no actual German during class. She makes you do group work where nobody knows what to do while she walks around mumbling in German. She is very unorganized. 1-3 tests every week. If you want to learn German do not take this class... rent a CD from the library

This class is probably the worst germany course that I had. She doesn't teach the classs. She makes us do group assignments and work in the work book. She never lectures in her class. If you don't know german, you probably don't want to take her for the course. If you want to learn german the software does a better job than she does.
