There wasn't a class where the whole class was laughing from something he said. He tells you word for word what the test questions will be and lets you have a sheet for notes. Can only miss 3 classes but you kinda want to go to see what he will say.

This professor is very disrespectful. He frequently interrupts other graduate students and professors when they are talking. He doesn't answer questions, and instead lives in a la la land where he discusses random crap. I've never been so annoyed.

Dr. Morril was great! I know that he is retiring soon or might already have but if I ever found another one of his classes I would take it. I love history and he knows his stuff. He has a great personality and is always willing for a conversation or to give his help.

Very laid back. Must be cause its summer. No need to buy books (or at least wait till he says which one to get). 2 short papers (give short presentation on 1st one). 2 easy exams. Funny, opinionated, expects class participation. Won't yell at you unless you don't speak up. Let class go early till after the mid term, then kept us the whole time.

Great class and professor, probably the best in the history department. Get him while you can, he's retiring soon. Has his own website (danandmary.com/danand2) where he posts exactly what will be on the tests for his classes. I guess if you're not much in to history then probably don't take him, but you're missing out. I'd take again for sure.

Forced class participation but would talk over you if he didn't like your opinion. Most people didn't speak out cuz they didn't want the disrespect. Shame, cuz it could be an interesting class. :^/ He's NOT a woman hater or a raci$+ but the other negative posts are pretty accurate. Easy grader. Would only take another class w/ him if I had to.

Funny guy! Used a Grizzly Bear impression on the first day to describe epistemology. Knows Morse Code. Test are short answer in blue exam books taken with pen. They are cumulative over the course. Has own website to study from. You need to buy 5 different books and read almost 100 pages a night. Overall a good teacher!

Attendance will determine your grade because everything on exams is discussed throughout class everyday. Reading the material always helps when he asks questions so I suggest you read the beginning and end of every chapter assigned.

I have taken Professor Morrill a total of about 6 times in my 4 years of school. That should tell you something, I can't get enough of his lectures, he makes learning fun, and he knows how to really push you to a new level of thinking. He does this for any subject he teachs, simply amazing professor.

He really dosent teach much about the subject, or he will talk way too long about a certain subject. He always asks people questions so pay attention. His tests were easy, just have to memorize the names he gives you. Two book reports due in class, but they werent hard. overall, it was an easy B, if you study a ton then youll get the A. He's OK.

Comment:
Go to class, read the books, do the reviews. As long as you don't plagarize or completely space out, you'll do fine. Not sure why people think he's prejudice against girls/blacks/whatever...class is so big he doesn't even know anyone's name...which makes it hard to have favorites.
