I'm upset he doesn't teach more classes bc he was one of my favorite profs. Seriously brilliant educator who genuinely cares about his students' success. Also he has the ability to make often old political texts feel new and worthwhile which is really rare.

Professor Worcester is an amazing person himself. In terms of teaching this Writing class, it just was not it. Learned nothing productive or anything that improved my writing. Hes a harsh grader and tells you no way to improve where you went wrong to better your grade. Anyway, he should be teaching musicals, not writing!

Professor Worcester is such a gem! I am convinced this man is a time traveller who's time traveling belt broke in 2020. He is so wildly intelligent and caring, but don't expect an easy A because he will make you work for it. His comics class was a blast and extremely enlightening. Even on zoom he is incredibly engaging!

I really didn't mind going to Worcester's class. He's a great teacher, and he's very funny. Obviously, he is going to make you work for your grade, but he definitely improved my writing. He grades papers individually, not by progress (kinda sucks but not that bad). Be prepared to read, but he discusses the material. Easy to reach too!

Professor Worcester is one of the few professors at Marymount that treats his students like adults, which I appreciated. His lectures are always engaging and extremely insightful. Three papers per semester, simple. No weekly busy work or other annoying obstructions to actual learning. Tough grader but you will gain so much from this class.

I took Ken's Comics Criticism class at SVA a few years ago. I liked comics before, but this guy made me BELIEVE in comics. He grafts an enormous amount of experience, both literary and personal, into his lessons, and truly reveals every aspect of the page to you. By semester's end, you'll feel like you've gotten more out of class than you deserve.

Kent Worcester is one of the best professors at Marymount. More than just having a general mastery of the topic of the course (Modern Political Thought) Kent truly cares about students, often going above and beyond to ensure a full understanding of the material as well as applying real life situations and examples to the lesson.

I was really looking forward to this professor, but was very disappointed. He never seemed to take any of his students seriously and considered his opinion to be above all others. Be prepared to be shot down in a lot of what you say. He is not helpful with his essay grading and writes unnecessary corrections that don't help with the actual content

I am currently taking Worcester's Plato's Republic class. Not only are his lectures extremely informative, but they are compelling and humorous. Love that he rags on anyone who isn't a Social Science major. My favorite class at MMC to date. It's nice to have something different than Social Construction.

By far one of the BEST professor at Marymount- take him, take him, take him! You will not regret it. He is so intelligent/his classes are wonderful. You learn how to think/write well. The best part is that he encourages students to have their own opinions and is very open to discussions(What a welcome change!) I cannot reccomend him enough!!!!

Take this class if only to meet Professor Worcester. Aside from learning much about political ideologies, you will meet a caring, down to earth, interesting guy who can offer a lot to your education both inside and outside of school. Mostly, his lessons will last past his course and through the rest of your life. I am grateful for this class
