Took Dr. Suter for Personhood, and I thought he was extremely great. Everyday was interesting, different discussions based off assigned reading. Very helpful. Very funny. Interesting class.

Comment:
his lectures are horribly boring and useless. he talks slow because he does not know how to explain himself.material was difficult so you dont really understand what you are reading in the text and he doesnt teach very well. usually when students use the textbook alot its because the professor does a horrible job of teaching the material.

I have taken him for Sensations and also for Brain & Consciousness. He is by far one of the top three psychology professors I have had while at Cal State. He does expect you to read the textbook (gasp!) and take weekly and pop quizzes. He expects a lot out of his students, but it is reasonable. Take Suter if you love neuroscience!

I have read the previous "bad" ratings for Dr. Suter and I guarantee those are the lazy students who don't like having to show up for class or actually read the textbook. If that's you, then just don't take the class. I respect Dr. Suter very much, a man of his word and won't back down. Hands down THE best teacher I have had at CSUB!

Dr. Suter's class is definatly challenging. It requires a lot of time at home to prepare for his class. Approximately 15-20 hrs. out side of class. As a person, Dr. Suter is an awesome guy, but his class is way too demanding for those of us who do not plan on getting into the biological aspect of Psychology. You can study for a test but never know

Now I'm no Einstein, but just a hard worker. He won't hand feed you the answers, you have to work in his class to pass. I know most CSUB classes give you study guides and nice little Power Point outlines, but Suter does it old school. I've taken 3 classes and got A's in them all. Hard work does still count with some instructors.

Dr. Suter is very intelligent and teaches a very difficult topic. You need a biology background to truly comprehend the material. Very hot and funny.

This guy is hilarious! I really enjoyed taking such an off-the-wall course with such an off-the-wall guy. His final exam made my hand fall off due to so much writing, but if you stay up on the reading and participate in group discussions, you'll do fine.

Very interesting class, wish he didn't have to grade. He was just very unclear had us reading like 3 (100 page) chapters a night, it's a good class for those students who don't have to earn a living and don't have kids.

He is very tough, but a great instructor! I really got a lot out of his classes, but had to earn the grade by studying a LOT! He is very funny and tries to liven up the lectures which make them more bareable.
