I would not take this class if you are not a big studier. Those fill in the blank tests with no word bank could ruin you. The lectures are very interesting though. He is a good speaker.

His class is amazing. You can't help but learn materials in the class. The tests are all fill in the blank, no word bank or anything, so you really do have to study and come to class to take note. You HAVE to read the documents in order to pass the tests, but it's not really hard. You also have to go to a museum and write a 5 page paper. Easy peasy(:

GREAT PROFESSOR! I had no interest in history until I took his class. He gets so excited with his teaching that you can't help but get excited, too. Tests are fill in the blank but super easy. No dates to remember. likes lists and names. read the readings in book, just be able to recognize which reading by key words. I would take his class again.

He is cool, but as he stated the first day of class--in his class you will learn history. Tests are hard though, all fill in the blank crap, and you need to do a bit of reading the book to be able to recognize the sentences on the test and provide with the title of the reading. Class not mandatory but you need to be there or you'll miss a lot

He is pretty good, finishes lectures early a lot, lectures are ineresting but tests are fill-in the blanks, likes the name, everything from the notes. However, he was messing us up with the readings, often including the articles from the list that was supposed to be for different test, on final he used many of those he didn't use in midterms.

Great prof. I bombed the first test, I should have reviewed my notes more, but after that it was smooth. Everything on the test is in your notes. His teaching style will make you learn the material, not a bad thing. The previous posts seem about right. I would take him again. Two thumbs up!

Tests are incredibly detailed, but follow his notes almost exactly and he specifically puts emphasis on parts of his lecture he'll test over. He absolutely knows his stuff and is a really funny guy. Doing well in the class definitely takes effort, but it was the best history class I've had thus far at KSU.

Starting to wonder if I had another instructor. I thought we were at school to learn and not understand the game playing that goes on. A textbook with historical errors, grammatical errors and a complete waste of money-included is an instructor who lays on some many dates on you in one class and then expects you to fill in the blanks on a test?

Brubaker Rocks! The tests are all fill in the blank, you definitely have to study but all the material on the tests are topics he has gone over. Don't miss class. You'll miss alot. He makes history very interesting and is extremely passionate about it. You have to go to Atlanta History Center for a 5 page paper. It was a cool assignment.

He is a pretty nice guy and loves history, but I felt his tests were extremly hard. I would not recommend taking him unless you feel like studying ALOT! Test fill in the blank and it is over a lot of information, too much indeed! He was very impatient and sometimes rude when you asked a question. Had to go to the History museum $15.

A very talented lecturer, but his tests are very precise... took bombing the first one to figure that one out. You MUST attend class every day and you MUST write down everything he says. Ask him to send you the slides.

GREAT professor! This is the first A i've ever got in college. I went to class every day, you HAVE to write down EVERYTHING he says. Its all verbatum on the test. extra credit is given and his last test has new info, but he copy and pastes the exact questions from test 1 and 2 onto test 3. the readings are the only hard part. 5 page paper is easy.

I hate history! I think it?s a useless class; however Mr. Brubaker makes it interesting. If you take notes, you?ll do fine. Attendance is not mandatory! But if you miss class you?ll miss a lot of material that?s on the test.
