Only 20% of lecture is related to useful knowledge that help understanding. Rest of time Gregor talks too much craps.

Course structure is fine but why are lecture quizzes worth so much. I get that he's trying to help us to catch up but making them 15% of our grade is just stressful.

Gregor was an amazing prof! His lectures were very engaging with clicker questions and lots of voluntary student participation. CPSC 110 was well organized and never left me with a feeling of uncertainty that I felt in some other courses (like MATH 100). I worried a lot about the 15% weigh in clicker questions but he was very lenient in the end.

The entirety of the 110 teaching staff and TA's deserve so much respect. They were so understanding of the stress level this term and modified the course to make it as manageable as possible. The EdX videos are so helpful and every single thing we do in the course is useful. Gregor is one of the most caring professors, and makes cpsc110 awesome

CPSC 110 is the best organized course I've ever taken, and Gregor clearly knows his stuff when it comes to delivering this course. He's funny and knows what students will find difficult and how to best approach the material from many years of experience. Can't go wrong with choosing him for this prolific intro course.

Gregor is definitely very professional in the course materials and structures the course very well with everything to be expected outlined very clearly. He could be intimidating by throwing questions back at you at times, but he is actually very caring for his students. His office hours are plenty and very helpful. A solid choice for CPSC110.

Gregor is the best professor. He gives amazing lectures, is always super clear and takes many questions. But most importantly, he does what is best for his students. He reduced the course load and made grading more lenient due to the difficulties of online learning and acknowledges that everyone is tired! Hands down best prof!

I had Kiczales for 110. He's one of those cases of a very strong teacher who is also extraordinarily intelligent. He has developed a strategy for teaching computer science to beginners that works very well. All you have to do to succeed in his class is listen to the suggestions given. His lectures make sure to show you real world applications.
