Comment:
He was very mono-toned. I literally could not keep up with his notes because he would write random words on the board (with very bad hand-writing) and go off on different tangents about other ideas. Worst professor at IU so far!

His classes are difficult to keep up with. It is as if he teaches every class the same way he would teach a grad class. He is a bit dry, but makes up for it by being completely genius.

This class is hard and not very stimulating. In fairness to the teacher it is probably difficult to make it interesting and clear. Stick it out and the curve may bring up your grade but only take this class if you must.

Horrible professor. Mumbles and says "umm" A LOT during lectures. The lectures don't seem to relate at all to the readings at times and the class was generally very disorganized. By the end of the semester, I felt like I hadn't learned a thing. Waste of time and tuition dollars.

This teacher is hard to understand in class, and to take notes on when every other word is um, and about another topic. The TA grades almost everything though which is good. maybe he just doesn't know how to "connect with his students" i do not recommend his who am i class tho- not interesting at all! hes rated one of the worst teachers in his dpt.

The class is an attendance class. There are random little 1 page papers you do throughout the semester, everything is take home, and you read like 3 chapters of a book. i have an a and ive done NOTHING. in the lectures he just talks for 50 minutes about things that will not be on any test. bring your laptop.

I love this guy. A lot of people give him a bad wrap but that's because they don't understand the philosophy he's teaching, don't do the reading, and then take it out on the professor when they don't do well in the class. He's an incredibly nice person, he's 100% knowledgeable and available for help, and he's great about opening up the floor.

He is a very nice guy and expects a lot from his students. He's a good professor if you can keep up with him. The stronger students in his classes find him as a good resource.

Well intentioned but useless. He is far and away the weakest thinker and the worst teacher in the department.

professor is very monotonous, and unkempt. He speaks in circles and with redundancy, while not even speaking about a point. He makes pointless refrences to abstract topics. Also, I filled my "I give a sh*t" bottle with 2 monsters and waited till class to drink them. I still fell asleep

Senchuk's Race, Gender, and Humanity class is the worst class I've taken at IU. His lectures are very boring and the grading is unfair. I do not recommend taking a class by him.

He did say 'um' a lot. But his course 'the examined life' was, in my opinion, a very good introductory philosophy course. the more interested one is in the subject the more they will like senchuk.

Prof. Senchuk is probably one of the worst professors at IU. His race, gender, and identity class is the worst. Very boring, and the take home quizes are hard. Grading is pretty harsh also. I would not recommend this class to my worst enemy!

If you like a professor saying "um" or "uh" about 490 times in a 50 min class (yes we counted!) then sure take a class from him. But I will NEVER take another class from him again thats for sure. Good Luck with him if you do!

Worst class I have ever taken in all my years as a student. This professor has a bad habit of saying "uh......." over and over and you can't make sense out of his lectures. One day we actually timed it. He said "uh...." 26 times in one minute. DO NOT take this guy's class. You will be sorry!

He is a terrible teacher. He definitely carries on about nothing. In a class about gender and race, you wouldn't expect him to be so opinionated. He is. Good luck on the tests because even if you answer the questions, you will lose points for not reading his mind and answering more.

One of the worst professors IU has to offer. When asked questions pertaining to the homework, he COULD NOT answer them. If you're going to teach a subject, perhaps you should understand it. What a bad experience...
