Super sweet guy but this is the worst course I have ever taken, super unclear about exams and super messy layout, seems like he has no idea what hes doing.

A nice man but his class was mostly just him talking about irrelevant information. It was a seminar course but he did 90% of the talking. Most of the class was failing and didn't understand the material but he didn't offer any advice. Also, he is impossible to contact unless you're willing to go to his office (no email or D2L)

This was my first Anthropology course and now I want to take more. LOTS of reading (you read four novelsethnographies) but they are all interesting for the most part. He basically tells you exactly what's going to be on the midterms. Was very accommodating for me when I was having some personal problems. Would take another class with him!

If you read the assigned readings and go to class there is no reason to do well in his class. He makes the intro anthro at least very interesting and incredibly easy to relate to because he uses so many examples within the texts and even out of them. Would highly recommend! I am a business student but took this as an elective.

Did not like this prof at all! He was hard to follow the books were terrible. You could not please him on an exam. And it was the hardest 1000 level class I have taken (I'm i my 3rd year)!! I emailed him 2 weeks ago and still have not received a response 2 weeks later!! AVOID!

Classes with Rex Clark are really easy going, comfortable, and sometimes a little slow; but for the most part I enjoyed my class with him as the material is interesting and he presents it quite well.

Comment:
Dr. Clark has an extremely weird sense of humour and is incomprehensive at times, however the thing I find worst about him is his absolute blatant disrespect for science majors!! If you are a science major, don't bother registering for his courses because he will only single you out in class and accuse you of spending too much time on your major!

Excellent prof. Shows concerns for all his students. It is helpful when you go to all classes and participate in discussions since it is part of the course evaluation. Really interesting course. Prof made the course very interesting, and related the content to every day outcomes. Very analytical course!! Recommend it to everyone!

Dr. Clark is one of those professors that adds credibility to the analytical side of anth. There is so much anth stuff that seems near basic - but his courses are engaging and require a little more thought than most. His selected readings are awesome. If you cover the material and use your brain, you'll do well.
