Get ready to read, provides all information needed to pass the class you need to read to pass the class. He gives helpful readings before each and every test like a study guide the more you memorize the higher your grade will be. He has a very odd sense of humor 99% of people don't get his teaching or jokes so just read book and study guide. Easy A

Sounds like the previous students were slackers. Sometimes in college you actually have to do the work. This class was an easy A, just show up and read the book you paid for. Great teacher with lots of knowledge to share. SDSU is lucky, Best proff I ever had. Matt A.

This guys is terrible. He has no lesson plans, and assigns busy work that is probably for a book that he's writing. His class is torture for three days a week. Waste of time, oh yeah, and money, thanks SDSU. Get this guy outta here.

Shows up to class looking and acting like he just woke up from a long night drinking. Enjoys ridiculing students, is inconsistent, and has to grade easy as no does well on his 'exams'. An embarassment, retire already!

This professor may use essay questions on exams for his advantage. Meaning, if he does not care for you....he can and will use this against you in grading exams with essay questions.

Danger, Danger...Will Robinson! Shouldn't be allowed to teach! Waste of my time and money. Total disappointment. Shows slides of family vacations and lectures consist of "stories", all of which have nothing to do with the text book or tests. Word to the wise...DON'T TAKE THIS PROFESSOR'S CLASSES!

I'd rather shoot myself in the face than sit through his bs again. I paid how much money to color maps that take up a rediculous amount of time? YOUR SLIDES ARE OLD AND USELESS! He spends far too much time showing his archaic slides and references cities/rivers/anything he can but you'll have no idea what the heck he's talking about.

Nice guy. Gets distracted and digresses often. Boring lectures read straight from the study guide. His grad student grader grades essays WAY HARD. 100 question tests are tough but very pass-able. Map assignment in juvenile but has some good extra credit. Cushy grade scale. If you have to its boring and barely tolerable, avoid if possible.

Very creepy. He quoted scriptures from the bible and showed slides from his family vacations from the 1970s! Oh here's a tip, on the first day he asks which countries you have visited or were born in. Don't answer ...unless of course you want to wind up giving in-class presentations to each of his different sections. Unfortunately I had to take him

BAH. The first day of class he came in and had wet spots on his chest. It looked like he was lactaiding. Every other day wasn't that much better, he went through endless slides of his travels, lectured on God knows what cuz everyone was asleep, and tests were 100 questions each. Managed a B cus grading scale was low, but don't take the class.

Pretty chill class. Yes the tests are hard, but they're multiple choice and the class is based on an easy grading scale. 40% is a D, 55% is a C, etc. Just make sure you bring a magazine to get you through class b/c lectures are pointless, but if he takes roll you lose 20 points. Overall, I'd recommend this class.

Worst teacher Ive ever had. Lectures are boring, attendaence counts. Watch movies and look at slides which are not on test. Expects you to know every detail about each country for exams. Generous curve

This guy is interesting to say the least-too many slides of his trips around the world, coloring maps like you're in 3rd grade, tests are straight from the book - he has a reader which doesn't help that much. Read the book, do your maps, and go to class takes attendence which counts against you

Take this class only if you're interested in the origins of blonde hair & blue eyes, and Christianity. Otherwise, take something else that meets the "diversity" requirement. Not too hard, but not worth it either.

Its no conicidence that he spent waaaay more time going over the middle east than any other part of the world. He loves his religous, culture bashing history. Spent no time talking about the religons of other peoples of the world, hows that diversity for you? Too many weird family slides as well.
