Expect to put in the work!!! Witty humor lightens information packed lectures. Fair grading and respectful. Highly recommend purchasing an anatomy coloring book. Lab is by far the hardest part of this class and it is 1/3 of your grade so you better put in the time to get a decent grade.

Professor Woodman is a nice guy, but his lectures are very long and very boring making them extremely hard to pay attention to. Lecture exams aren't terrible if you find quizlets with previous exam questions. Lab is a joke. You will study hours on end for a 10 point quiz. Probably one of the most annoying classes I've ever taken

With the level of diffuculty in this class you would think the professor would be more understanding and easier to communicate with but that was not the case. Disrespectful teacher who is very uninvolved in his work. Finished the class with an A but give no credit to the professor. It up to you to put hours and hours of work.

Dumbest classes will be taught by this professor, literally the hardest classes offered at UNL, and no wonder people took them as SCC. But now UNL will not allow the transfer of these credits from there so you're stuck with the most impossible class compared to any other university. Homework takes about 2.5 hrs per assignment

Although I did learn a lot in his class, the transition to online was really bad. He made tests so much harder (which I don't understand because it was impossible to cheat) online. The labs are ridiculously hard. You spend multiple hours studying/think you know the material and you're lucky if you even get a 60%. Had no regard for students issues

Anatomy was a great course and Woodman was a solid professor who was extremely knowledgeable and entertaining. I didn't do great, mostly due to lab being tough, but I can say I learned SO much in this class. Lab is definitely a haul, but if you get into a daily study routine (1-2 hrs/day) you will do fine. A grind, but Probably my fav class so far

This was the hardest class I have ever taken/will take in undergrad, but it is by far my favorite. It takes studying about 15 extra hours/week to succeed in this class, and lab will be the hardest part of the course by far. Dr. Woodman's strict reputation was intimidating, but he is so down to earth, hilarious, and truly cares about his students.

currently enrolled in Anatomy during spring 2020 (COVID-19). The transition from lectures to online was horrible, expecting the class to be run as normal despite no access to resources. assignments graded WEEKS later, unprofessionalism, refusing to answer emails with concerns, changed the whole format of the exams, total disregard for students.

Woodman was a solid professor and a funny guy. Lecture exams weren't too bad but lab is where people struggle in this class. If you put in the work, the quizzes aren't too bad but the practicals are ridiculous. My current quiz avg is 82% but with the practicals, my overall lab grade is a 68. You will learn so much, just be prepared to study A LOT.

This class would've been much more interesting if lab wasn't so stressful. Lab is overwhelming; you must study for hours for short quizzes. It was frustrating that I memorized so much that I wasn't even quizzed on. Sometimes cadavers are poorly labeled. The 30 second alarm (per question) is also stressful. I got a 96% in lecture, and a 60% in lab

The lecture portion, which is worth the majority of your grade, is not too bad. The tests have very specific questions (test files are helpful). The lab is extremely hard. I did really well on all exams but had a bad lab grade and ended with a B+. This was definitely the hardest/most work intensive class I have every taken but was interesting!

Hardest class I've taken but also my favorite. It is possible to get a good grade with no minuses and extra credit. The lecture portion is worth more of your grade, and he will ask detailed questions so a basic understanding of the topics won't suffice. The lab is the hardest part -- you will have to study for hours for simple 10 point quizzes.

I had a TA, Kaleb Dunn who is just one of those types of people that holds students to a higher level of clarity than he holds himself. Honestly I never figured out where the post lab quiz questions were coming from. Could be the lecture textbook, podcast, lab manual or notes. With so many sources there was just no way to know it.

The lecture portion of anatomy (what Woodman teaches) is actually not that bad; I aced all the exams. But the lab is impossible! I got a B overall, since I had a 95% in the lecture and a 62% in the lab (even though I studied WAY more for the lab!), which balanced out to a B overall. Dr. Woodman is a hilarious professor and makes anatomy fun.

Woodman's class is very difficult and is not that hard. But, you need to be ready to study for hours and definitely read the book. Also, lab sucks, lab was harder for me and if you can find test files your in class grade will be greatly improved. Finally, hes funny especially because he will make fun of people. NO PHONES unless you want embarrassed

Professor Woodman knows what he teaches. He makes powerpoints AND writes up notes you can print off that he follows during lecture. You will need to read the book because anything in the book is fair game on the exam. One of the most difficult classes I have taken, but have learned more from this class than any other.

The class really takes up a majority of your time in studying if you want to pass in general. His lecture notes can sometimes be hard to follow because he uses abbreviations and moves fast through the lecture, so when you go back to your notes you might not understand what you wrote down. The lab is uses s lot of time to "study."

Dr. Woodman is incredibly knowledgable in his field . This class was the most difficult class I have ever taken, but easily my favorite. Find test files, because they will help a lot with his exams. Basically, you're going to memorize the entire textbook - but you'll learn so much.

Dr. Woodman's class is relies heavy on memorization. There are few concepts. It's like memorizing a new language to some degree. If you don't study outside of the two labs (which give you ample amounts of study time) and the lectures, don't expect to pass. Woodman's delivery is impeccable and he likes to joke as well! Great class!

the key to passing this class is to study. you get more of an overview in lecture and lab is where you go into a lot of detail. both stuff from lecture and lab show up on the exams. miss an exam and your taking a cumulative final exam
