Easy class to get an A in but I have never done so much doodling in my life. His talks turn into tangents about things that do not pertain to any of the readings. I learned nothing and am unsure what I was supposed to learn.

He is the worst professor ever!!! I had a 3 hr Friday morning class and all he talked about was boring things. There were no test no quizzes just papers which were easy. He allowed you to email him the assignments so I did. In one of my emails there were 3 papers. He graded one and gave me 0s on the others. He said I never turned them in.

I've had him for two classes now, did none of the readings, and got an A in both. He's easy. I'm also a history major with some general knowledge of what he teaches. Most of class he just wanders off to random subjects..not what you are covering...but his exam reviews are basically the test. If you get a bad grade, that is completely YOUR FAULT!

Easy as tytz, attendance is mandatory, only read the books for the worksheets, just do the assignments (which aren't hard) you will be sure to pass.

He is by far the worst professor I have ever had. He has the same stain in the same spot on his shirt everyday. He doesn't care about his students and he wont answer your calls or emails. This is an awful class. DO NOT TAKE

The only reason I rated him as medium easiness is because the final exam was just extra credit. EVERYONE failed his tests with 49% or lower and it was our fault because we didnt know how to study. Class is boring. You will want to rip out your hair. He wears the same clothes every week. Very dirty guy. Terrible class. DO NOT TAKE. You'll regret it.

He is a horrible professor! Talks in monotone the whole 3 hour class period. You can barely understand him over his heavy breathing. He is a very arrogant guy. Doesn't care about his students. He kind of expects you to already know the material. The class is extremely boringgggg! Do not take it!

Class should be communication intensive...lots of papers to write, but they're pretty easy and not as time consuming as they may seem. Go to class because each time you go it's 10 points which can really help your grade in the end.

McLin is a good professor. However, he isn't very challenging. He knows a ton, but just drones all class. He takes attendance each class. You won't need the books if you are handy with google. There is a term paper that is ten pages. Easy. He will even help you with a topic. I liked the class, but I didn't learn very much. :)

Very easy grading scale. you do the work, you get an A, regardless of content or relativity. He may be monotonous and somewhat of a show off of his knowledge at times, but hey, if i were that smart i probably would be too. pretty nice guy overall. i would recommend him to any non-history majors tyring to fill gen. eds.

Very conceeded...if you have him for a three hour class you are there the whole time and he talks about pointless crap for at least 2 hours of it. The class is easy if you just do the assignments and go to class. He knows alot about history but he is kind of rude

Teaches a pass or fail class so just do the work. The rough draft assignment is worth 3x as much as the final draft. Likes to show off intellect. Teaches at SVSU and Michigan State during same semester. Arrogant but generally knows the material. Likes to introduce unpopular ideas for criticism. Do the work and it's a breeze.

Absolute waste of time and money. I don't respect someone who comes in dirty and asks for a ride back to motel after class. SVSU should be ashamed to have hired a man such as him. He is very smart, but has outlived his teaching career. Assignments very vague, and like to change the rules 1/2 way in the semester. Does not respond to email often

Good class if you do not care about history and only want an A. Lectures are vague and one sided. Found some comments very inappropriate.

WOW! I can't believe all the negative comments on here. This guy was great, a little boring at times but much better than most of the professors I have come across. The class was easy there are no exams only a bunch of papers throught the semester. The class is easy just do the work and show up to class and you've got it made.

Most irritating guy I have ever seen. He breathes like there are a bunch of marbles stuck up his nose - VERY distracting! Not to mention he's an IDIOT. He thought that the Grapes of Wrath was written by Harriet Beecher Stowe about the Middle East!! DO NOT TAKE this one.

Very boring, but very easy! you just have to go to class and do all the extra credit to get an A. don't ask him questions in class. he won't even look at you when he answers. e-mail him instead, he seems nicer on e-mail.
