This man carries a special place in my heart. I just finished out my fifth class with him, and I will forever give credit to him in all of my work down the road. You could not ask for a better mentor or teacher. He has an immensely strong voice in the photography world, and it would be in your best interest to listen to him. Amazing professor.

Great man. Great prof. Brilliant mind. In three years I have learned so much from him, but I know he has many more years of knowledge I could learn from. I couldn't have asked for a better photography prof, but he's more than that, he's a friend, a mentor, and a stand up person. I'm honored and humbled to know him.

Jonathon is probably the most knowledgeable person I have met when it comes to photo. He is very helpful and genuinely interested in student work as long as you show up for class and pay attention. I would highly recommend any of his classes to anyone interested in photography.

it is an easy fun class if that is what you are looking for but if you are there to learn you will work and learn more than you thought you were paying for. it is a world so in depth that you cant learn it all in one progam johnothan teaches you how to learn. every word and lesson has more than one meaning. if you dont get it find something new.

Helping you to learn to think is the reason He is there. Just handing over the answers is what I get from others classes, but in Russel's class, we learn to reason out steps and come up with our own answers while he guides. I wish other teachers were that way.

He is very into helping the students who know exactly what they are doing, but watch out if you have any questions. He makes you feel stupid and small for asking him, the master of photography, a question. He makes you feel like you are an inconvenience if you need help with something he thinks you should know. Well isnt that why im paying him?

I think he is an awesome teacher, and very helpful, but unsympathetic. The 1st grade I got was my midterms (I think)and they were terrible. I'm usually a straight A student, but I got all Cs. Very dissappointed... maybe I won't be a photographer after all.
