This Professor clearly cares abou her research. Very dry. Not approachable. get very annoyed if student does not catch on quickly enough for her.

her idea of a lecture is reading off powerpoint slides for an hour and a half-most boring event in the world, grades homework ridiculously harshly, required to take her for the criminal justice master's program (which is awesome besides her). honestly, she ruined the master's program for me, she seems to take joy in seeing students do poorly.

Can talk but she can''t teach. She has her favorites and then the rest be damned. She''s harsh with people. She laces into students for making simple mistakes like missing a work study period or a class because they couldn''t find the building was the first week of class. There is no compassion there only control of others around her.

If your goal is to protect the 1% & destroy the life of anyone who shows potential for dissent or creative thinking, this is the petty bureaucrat you want as a professor. She's preparing you to be a corporate peon, a cop who beats up protesters, or a person who uses others to climb the corporate ladder. She is a cautionary tale, not an inspiration.

Google passive-aggressive. Her picture is right next to the term. She is there for status and her research, rather than for students. Good for business, bad for education.

Take her class if you enjoy being bullied by a professor. High on knowledge, but extremely low on emotional intelligence.

Cold and self-involved. Knows her material, but her delivery is very dry. She does nothing to involve students in her class. Poor teacher.

VERY good, helpful teacher. Easy if you study the book and not just notes for the tests. Uses powerpoints and the info IS used for the tests. Do all the readings but they aren't as important as the book/powerpoint material. Taking this class is making me think of changing my major to Criminal Justice. Web quizzes are kinda pointless.

Professor Siegel is one of the best at Rutgers Camden. She is very helpful, responds to all her emails and these responses are very thorough. Attendance is mandatory and about half the info from the readings never shows up on the tests, but the reviews she emails everyone before the test are extremely helpful. She also has a sense of humor :D

I thought she was a very fair and helpful teacher. I got an A and hardly read the book. If you take good notes from her lecture, and do the study guide she emails for every exam, you should do well.

Students are intimidated by her, but don't be. She's brilliant and teaches an intro class with a ton of students, so she has her rules. Respect them or you're out. If you have a problem or need help- go & see her. It WILL help your grade. If you're a CJ major- she's great to talk to- very connected.

She is very boring at times, she teaches partly from book using PowerPoint. She gives a lot of extra readings which are not covered in class but are part of exams. Her exams sucks most of the material on the exam are NOT covered in class. She is not friendly nor helpful, very self centered. Avoid

alot expected of you-- tutorial quizzes once a week, very long packets, a paper, and group work that i have still not found the purpose to. she can be interesting, but most of the times is not; her teaching methods include repeating info from the book through powerpoint presentations

Lectures are semi-interesting. Lots of internet assignments/quizzes but they arent too hard. There is a very confusing statistics packet she has which is difficult. I did bad on all 5 but still managed a B. She was helpful to me personally when I visited her office, and seemed like a nice enough person

The attitude from this prof is appalling, she cares only about herself and her research. She flat out refused to help out students because it would take away from her personal time. Don't take her unless you have to. A #1 loser. Gives Rutgers a bad rep.
