Professor Shannon was amazing. I had virtual class with her twice a week. She allowed online learning to be manageable and enjoyable for me! She is extremely accommodating and understanding of her students. She made me feel very comfortable and always gave her students the benefit of the doubt. Her class is very easy to follow and organized.

One of the worst professors I have ever encountered in my few years of college. she gave us an assignment and told everyone to change our topics because she decided last minute she doesn't want to hear the same topics over again. She wants to fit in with college students she is not organized at all and she will never grade your papers at all.

Professor Shannon doesnt know what shes doing. Shes timid, doesnt grade things for weeks if at all and isnt clear about whats due, when. She isnt clear when she gives instructions on how to do assignments and doesnt clarify when you ask. She doesnt know how bb works and care more about seeming hip than actually doing her job. DO NOT TAKE

Professor Shannon will tell you one thing is acceptable but will take it back the next class and totally forget she said anything about it. I sat down with her for an APA formatted paper to make sure I had everything correct because it was my first AP paper. she told me everything looked great then proceeded to mark me down on my formatting.

I am currently taking professor Shannons course this semester. I have found that she is not very informed on what she is teaching, she is very unorganized, does not actually read your essays. She does not have a set schedule on what assignments actually are. she is beyond hard to listen to lecture because she is all over the place. I don't recommen

I've always been great at English classes, especially when it comes to a class like this where you write easily over 10 papers over the course of the semester. However, Professor Shannon was a pushover who wouldn't discipline anyone who talked over her or refused to pay attention to her lectures. She has such a quiet voice that is easily ignored.

She hasn't graded anything since the beiginning of the semester and it is really frustrating because you don't know what grade you have in the class. Always a four page paper with no clear due date. I leave the class wondering if I have homework or not she never explains if we do or not.

Having the textbook was quite helpful because we had a few assignments to do from it. Very kind, very understanding. We turn in all assignments on blackboard so make sure you have access to a computer. The class alone was boring, but Professor Shannon is a professor I would take again.

She is a very sweet professor and very understanding. I do wish she was more organized and had a clear grading system. you won't know how you're doing in her class until the end. I found that frustrating and even when you ask she just says your fine.

I have nightmares of rolling backpacks because of her. Grading is very unclear. You do not need many materials in this class. Share a book with someone during class and use the reference book in the english lab. Only 4 papers, but you're expected to work on them. Use the english lab.

I found Beverly Shannon frustrating at times. Throughout the semester she was vague about her expectations. For anyone taking EN 100, prepare to go to the labs after every writing project throughout the semester. I also find that she doesn't use her time in class very efficiently. She often went off on a rant that had nothing to do with the topic.

Your entire grade in her class is 100 points. Total. Each class you miss she deducts 5 points of your grade REGARDLESS of circumstance. If you take this class, my best advice is don't miss it. It's pointless at times because she just puts you into groups and if you got decent people you just talk for the rest of the class. Don't take it.

She is pure trash. Unfortunately I made the mistake of taking her class, it is so unclear and under organized. She gives you the first 2 months to work on a easy personal paper then gives 2 weeks for a difficult research paper. For the love of god do NOT! take this class . Only positive is cool people were in it

Bev, is a very fun professor. Sometimes she gets lost in her fun. We had a portfolio type of class, and it made it difficult because you never knew your grade. People never showed up and would get upset why their grade was low. It was really easy if you were there. Only 4 papers IN AN ENGLISH CLASS. Most of them only 2 pages long. Put the work in.

Prof Shannon is a nice enough person but doesn't take charge of her classroom in any way. I leave many days wondering why I was there. Often doesn't know the answers to questions regarding MLA format, etc. Allows students to talk over and around her. I feel she is unclear with assignments. She doesn't seem to understand Blackboard very well.
