Comment:
I had Prof. Murrey last spring; I wanted to come back and write a review here b/c I keep revisiting her work with the Cameroon pipeline and ideas in my studies. She really changed my perspective, even when I was rather stubborn to let her do so. I truly wish she could have stayed at Clark and offered more of her wisdom; she is truly incredible!!

She is one of the most intelligent, inspirational and supportive professors that I've had through my undergraduate career. She's relatable, respectful, incredibly intelligent but so humble and unassuming. I never felt inadequate or like I wasn't being heard, & she created a learning environment where the students & professor learned from each other

Amber is such an amazing person -- I would love to have her as an advisor if she comes back to Clark for a long-term position. Her research is amazing and fits Clark's motto to 'challenge convention and change our world.' She taught me how to spot the problematic aspects to anthropological work.

Amber Murrey is an amazing professor! She clearly cares so much about her students, and sets up the classroom for the most learning to happen - well-facilitated discussions, helpful readings, and creative learning. Also an incredibly inclusive professor, aware of social issues and operates her classroom under a framework of inclusivity.

Meeting Amber has been an important event in my career and personal growth. She pushes you to grow, while acknowledging your humanity in and out of the classroom. Amber is one of the smartest yet humblest professors I have crossed paths with. After taking her class she still remembers my interests and sends me articles.
