Awesome professor. Very straight-forward and clear with his presentation of information. Not boring despite being quite serious. His own audio lectures online are a must to compare and combine with his slides and in-class lecturing. IF you do that easy A. His tests are multiple choice clearly written not confusing.

He was a very enthusiastic prof, but I didn't like not having a textbook as a second way of understanding the material he was trying to teach. If you missed the smallest thing in a video, it could completely throw off a question on his test. There were a lot of midterms, but at least they weren't cumulative.

Super cool guy, put up my silly questions. Clearly goes above and beyond what is required of a prof. Seemed intrinsically spiritual. Down to earth dude. Conceptualization of course content was a bit hard but defs worth it.

The objective course content was delivered well, but Dyce as a human being? I'll pass, thanks. He presents the DSM in a very rigid manner, overshares personal information, and comes across as extremely Christian, vaguely misogynistic and LGBTQ-unfriendly. Not impressed.

I had high expectation for this class but was let down a little bit. Yes, the exams are easy and do not require much effort. I just did not like how the exams were entirely based on regurgitation of information. It is, however, really nice not to have any textbook and non-cumulative exam. As far as the content goes, it was OK.

An awesome prof! I really enjoyed his classes, and audios were a nice break from reading textbooks. However, some of his exams had several questions that were iffy, and class not curved means it's hard to get an A. Overall, recommended.

Excellent class and prof. I love this guy! Really engaging, and his exams are easy. You could definitely do well just using the audio and DVD, but attend class too and study and an A is easy.

Had hig expectations for this class and was looking forward to it but I was greatly let down. Jamie would waste class time with videos that I thought had no educational value; his notes were very vague, and he made you learn 50% of the material on your own by watching his DVDs that cost $100. Tests were MC and presentation was a waste of time.

Jamie is a great prof. Uses audio files and DVDs instead of a textbook and shows tons of clips in class. Great for clarification questions and always takes the time to help his students. Really enjoyed this class, and recommend both the class and professor Dyce to anyone!

It takes a certain ego to make students spend $120 on 3 hours of footage of you reciting the dsm. Mandatory for the course. The first 1/3 of the course is literally an overview of the last 2/3, and you won't find any current research or much for theories. Easy and straightforward, just disappointing

Good prof, 2 midterms each broken into two parts, 1 final. None of the exams were cumulative which is nice. There were some oddly worded questions on exams though. Pretty easy to do well in his class.

Great! Loved that there was no textbook. His movies/audio weren't necessary but the solidified the info that he said in class/ made it not necessary to go to class. Very interesting, and very helpful.

Jamie is an AWESOME proff, but it sucked how after the second midterm you are on your own for material for the final. You have to listen to 8 hours of his audio recordings of other lectures and figure out the material on your own. There is also a group project which took up the last 3rd of the course which I found to be a complete waste of time.

Psych Chair told him to get rid of those DVDs last year... they were $40, and "required" for the class. New chair this year, so he gouged us for $110 each. They were completely unecessary material as they were just recordings of past lectures. He says they are needed and you must buy new but they are OLD.

No text, just audio & video which I liked. No assignments & exams were each split in two parts which was good. Some exam questions were worded poorly but they were fair overall. Audios were class recordings which was annoying because people would ask questions they couldn't be heard. His messy handwriting was hard to decipher. Overall pretty good.
