This prof is a real gem. He is so knowledgeable and passionate about what he teaches. He clearly outlines what is expected. The tests are a 50/50 split between lecture and textbook. There is a lot of content to memorize, especially in 367 which makes the course difficult.

This professor made PSYCO 282 my favourite course. His notes are organized and easy to read but attend the lectures to fill in the blanks. BMOD project was free marks. Exams were slightly tricky and he did not let us review our mistakes, but were fair. His examples solidified the content. Would take again!

His lectures were easy to listen to and he made jokes that made me laugh. Loved the research examples he used: it made the class very interesting and helped me understand the applications of B-Mod in the real world. Very easy project and exams were fair. The final was a little tougher so make sure to start studying early.

if you can have him as your prof then defs do it, he does talk a lot during the lectures sometimes gets boring but overall he's a good teacher. class had two midterms, one project and a final. the exams were not too difficult, textbook not needed just know his notes in detail and you'll be fine.

Hes a great prof, the course project is an easy A and his lectures are very detailed, not really any point in using the textbook as long as you study his notes inside out. He also comes off very passive aggressive on class forums when asking him any questions.

Awesome prof! Really engaging and spends a lot of time making his lectures high quality. He pays a lot of attention to detail and is very clear about what he expects you to know. The textbook is technically mandatory, but I never opened it and did very well on all of the assignments. Really recommend his class if you're interested in B-Mod.

Great professor! I loved ergonomics! He handled the transition into online during Winter Term 2020 really well. He was very helpful. He is caring and truly puts his students first in learning. He is the professor that taught me that school isn't all about grades but also if I truly learned something from the course. Loved that!

an alright class but kinda dry and the Bmod project is extremely annoying to do. also this man told me you couldn't use direct quotes in APA and that makes me question how he made it this far in psych

Karsten is a great professor who really knows his stuff about behaviour modification. It was a super interesting class but it was also a lot of information and at times was stressful trying to remember everything. This class was taken online because of COVID and he made us write exams with SEM which sucked. Other than that it was a sweet class!

He is so funny! His notes are very clear, and he makes sure you know what to focus on. Everything was very fair, and a generous portion of the grade is based on a project which is very easy. He does test out of the book but honestly, there is a lot of overlap - don't buy it! Rent it for a few days and do chapter reviews.

Dr. Loepelmann is a great choice for PSYCO 282! His exams are fair and easy to do well on if you understand the concepts and read the textbook. The project was also not too much work and applicable to the course material.

Didn't like him for 104, but since multiple people said this class was an easy A I decided to take it. Idk what it is but personally I don't like him as a prof. He does give study tips and what not but I feel like I'm back in high school lol, and I don't like his style of questions

He comes off as very condescending and facetious on class forums. Lectures are presented with odd - sometimes uncomfortable - jokes that feel aimed at elementary-aged students. Quick to deflect any pressure put towards him.

While I never interacted with the prof, I share the same sentiment of many students that he responds somewhat facetiously on eClass forums. He offered only two live Zoom office hours during the entire semester. The way this class is organized means that you're on your own for learning unless you have friends. Lectures are clear; exams are fair.

Comment:
Super dry class, he tries to be funny in his lectures but that's debatable. Class is asynchronous so that's a plus. His exams are 50/50 between lecture and textbook, but is pretty fair. Unable to review the exams tho. He comes off pretty passive aggressive in the class forum. The project is alright but is annoying to do throughout the semester.
