garry tunnel is an amazing teacher!!! He does not follow the text book, but his lectures still apply to what you read in the text book. he is a very fair marker who does not like to see anyone fail his class. has many stories and interesting information to give. highly recommend taking a class taught by him

It is my first year taking college courses and at first I wasn't sure if I would like Anthropology but Gary's lectures made it easy. His lectures are very interesting, at times funny, but also relate to course content which is the most important. If other courses were taught by him I would definitely take them and I hope there are in the future :)

Fantastic teacher. His lectures are a mix of course material and various anecdotes of his career. The man inspired me to pursue Biological Anthropology as a career.

Gary is a really nice guy and gives great lectures. However his class is one where you could miss lots of classes and still pass the exams because all exams are based on the readings, something he does not talk about in lectures. He is an easy marker and a good guy.

I have to admit that Gary is one of my favourite profs, but sometimes I think he is a little outdated in his course material. His stories are always a treat and his mannerisms keep class interesting. I will miss him when he retires... get into a class with him if you can before he goes (Primatology is the funnest).

Best professor. single handedly gave me an ideal to strive for in a profession. Exams truly test knowledge but his teaching style is worth everything. dedicated to students and lets them know. i would follow him to the end of the EARTH.
